Andrade Makes AEW Dynamite Return With Don Callis Family

Andrade Makes AEW Dynamite Return With Don Callis Family – Andrade is officially back on AEW Dynamite following the resolution of legal issues connected to a non-compete clause that remained in place after his WWE release in September. His return marks another unique chapter in his career, as Andrade became the first wrestler to move from WWE to AEW, back to WWE, and then return to AEW again. He initially resurfaced on the October 1 episode of Dynamite, aligning himself with the Don Callis Family and attacking Kenny Omega.

On the January 7 episode of Dynamite, Andrade did not physically target Omega, who remains absent from AEW television. Instead, the focus shifted to his reunion with the Don Callis Family, which continues to expand. Earlier in the night, the group added former TNA standout Jake Something, now competing under the name Jake Doyle.

It was revealed that the Callis Family had attacked JetSpeed backstage in order to help The Demand ahead of their scheduled match against “Speedball” Mike Bailey, Kevin Knight, and Jack Perry. That planned match did not take place as expected. Jack Perry later teamed with The Young Bucks in a match against Ricochet, Toa Liona, and Bishop Kaun. Perry and The Bucks emerged victorious.

Following that match, a post-match brawl broke out. The lights inside the arena suddenly went out, creating confusion among the competitors and the crowd. When the lights came back on, a masked Andrade was standing in the ring. Andrade immediately attacked Mike Bailey, taking him out before removing the mask to reveal himself. He then stood tall alongside Don Callis and the rest of the family in the center of the ring, confirming his renewed alliance.

Outside of AEW, Andrade has also been active internationally. After his non-compete expired, he competed at Wrestle Kingdom 20 over the weekend. Andrade won his first NJPW match in ten years, teaming with members of United Empire to defeat David Finlay, Gabe Kidd, and Drilla Moloney of the War Dogs, who were joined by Hirooki Goto and Hiromu Takahashi. The victory added further momentum to Andrade’s return to the global wrestling spotlight.
