Backstage News on Dragon Lee Appearances on the Main Roster

Backstage News on Dragon Lee’s Recent Main Roster Appearances – It appears that WWE has already made a move to promote one of its NXT stars to the main roster.

Dragon Lee, a significant signing for WWE, was expected to be fast-tracked to the main roster after signing with the company in December. WWE had high hopes for Lee, believing that he could become the next great Mexican star in the mold of legends like Rey Mysterio and Eddie Guerrero.

Lee’s initial start at the WWE Performance Center was delayed due to visa issues, but he eventually worked his first WWE match at a house show in March and later made his television debut.

In the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that “Dragon Lee did so well with Dominik that it looks like he’s now on the main roster. The nature of the deal he signed did indicate he’d be on the main roster after one year in NXT to begin with, but the match with Dominik may have sped up his timetable.”

Before signing with WWE, Dragon Lee had garnered interest from AEW and was considering offers from both promotions before ultimately joining WWE. His successful transition to the main roster suggests that WWE sees great potential in him as a key addition to their talent pool.
