Backstage News on Whether Chris Jericho Is Set for RAW in Germany – As of today, there are reportedly no creative plans for Chris Jericho to appear live on tonight’s WWE RAW, which emanates from the PSD Bank Dome in Düsseldorf, Germany.
According to PWInsider, Jericho is currently in the United States and is not factored into the show’s internal rundown. This marks the second straight week that the former multi-time world champion has not been included in live plans for WWE’s flagship program.
Speculation surrounding Jericho’s potential return to WWE intensified late last year after widespread belief that his AEW contract expired at the end of 2025. The rumors gained additional traction following a social media post from RAW General Manager Adam Pearce ahead of last week’s episode, which referenced the phrase “break down the walls,” a direct nod to Jericho’s iconic WWE entrance theme. Despite the online buzz, the January 5 episode of RAW from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn concluded without any appearance or mention of Jericho.
Further backstage updates indicated that Jericho’s name was not brought up during WWE creative meetings for the New Year’s anniversary episode of RAW. While there has been talk within wrestling circles that Jericho may have already reached a quiet agreement to return to WWE, no confirmation has surfaced. Notably, Jericho remains listed on AEW’s official roster page, adding another layer of uncertainty to his current contractual status.
The recent working relationship between WWE and TNA Wrestling has also fueled speculation, with some suggesting Jericho could make a surprise appearance for TNA during its AMC Network premiere this Thursday. However, as of now, there is no reporting to confirm his involvement with that event either.
Jericho’s last match inside a WWE ring took place in April 2018 at the Greatest Royal Rumble event in Saudi Arabia. Since then, he has built a lengthy and high-profile run outside the company, most notably with AEW.
Tonight’s RAW will move forward without him and features a strong lineup, including a first-time-ever singles match between Gunther and AJ Styles, along with an appearance by World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk as the Royal Rumble approaches.
