Bianca Belair may finally be on the road back to the ring. According to a new report from BodySlam+, the former Women’s Champion has begun light training as she works toward an in‑ring return following a lengthy absence. While no official timetable has been confirmed, the report indicates that Belair could be back “sooner rather than later,” offering the most encouraging update since her injury last year.
Belair has not competed since WrestleMania 41, where she faced IYO SKY and Rhea Ripley in a match that resulted in a finger and knuckle injury. The damage proved more complicated than initially expected. Despite attempts at rehabilitation, the injury did not heal properly, ultimately requiring surgery earlier this year. The procedure forced Belair to step away from both in‑ring action and regular televised appearances.
Her only on‑screen moment since then came at Evolution 2025, where she served as the special guest referee for Jade Cargill vs. Naomi. Even then, Belair’s involvement was limited, underscoring how cautious WWE has been with her recovery.
Before the setback, WWE reportedly had major plans for Belair at WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas. She was originally expected to challenge Jade Cargill for the Women’s Championship in what would have been one of the event’s marquee matches. With Belair not fully cleared, those plans were scrapped, and WWE pivoted to Cargill vs. Rhea Ripley instead.
Belair beginning light training marks a significant step forward. While she is not yet cleared for full contact, the fact that she has resumed physical preparation suggests that her recovery is progressing. WWE has historically taken a cautious approach with top‑level talent returning from hand and finger injuries, especially when grip strength and impact absorption are involved.
For now, Belair’s exact return date remains unknown. But with training underway and momentum building, it appears the EST of WWE is finally moving closer to her comeback.
