Booker T on Ilja Dragunov Possibly Joining Imperium – Earlier this week, Ilja Dragunov lost his NXT Championship to Trick Williams on NXT and appears to be set for his main roster callup on Monday’s edition of RAW. A familiar foe may be waiting for him when he does in Gunther, but Booker T believes Ilja would be better suited as an ally to the former Intercontinental Champion.

While speaking on the Hall Of Fame podcast, Booker spoke about the possibility of Dragunov linking up with Imperium on the main roster.

“I’ll tell you what, man, it would be a great spot for him. Being in that faction right there, he won’t get lost in the shuffle or anything like that. He’s really, really good. You’re gonna be looking and see who can we put him with? Him being a part of that group right there, you can put him against anybody and he can definitely go out there and shine, no matter who you put him against because he’s going to have backup. So yeah, I can see that happening. That would be a great faction for him to be a part of.”

On this past Monday’s edition of RAW, Imperium imploded as Giovanni Vinci was attacked by Ludwig Kaiser. However, Kaiser and Gunther remain allies.
