WWE Star Chelsea Green has landed a role in an upcoming horror feature helmed by a prominent creative mind behind the “Saw” film universe.

The casting announcement revealed that Green will share the screen with Lauren LaVera and Rory Culkin in a project currently titled Red Wedding. According to industry reports from Deadline, filming has officially commenced in Birmingham, Alabama. Indications suggest that the professional wrestler has already wrapped her specific scenes for the production.

Following her time on set, Green shared her enthusiasm for the opportunity on social media.

“This project was incredible,” Green wrote. “I learned so much, I grew as a new actress and I feel blessed to have been chosen to work alongside Josh [Stolberg], Lauren, Rory and so many other talented humans!!”

The directorial duties for the Gulfstream Pictures project are being handled by Josh Stolberg. While the production is operating under a working title, specific details about the character Green portrays are currently being kept under wraps.

Deadline provided an official synopsis of the cinematic plot:

“The film follows a teenager and her stepmother who are kidnapped and taken to a remote location as part of a ransom plot, soon discovering their captors are the least of their worries when a deadly bride and groom arrive and begin picking them off one by one,” Deadline wrote.

The film’s cast also includes Culkin, who comes from a well-known acting family alongside his brothers Macaulay and Kieran Culkin.
