CM Punk delivered a notable moment on the April 6 episode of WWE RAW, going off-script with a promo that reflected real concerns within WWE. According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Punk was originally expected to say something different, but instead chose to speak from the heart.

During the segment, Punk called for lower ticket prices ahead of WrestleMania 42, directing his comments toward Pat McAfee and Ari Emanuel. However, WWE later edited that portion out of the official clip released after the show.
Despite the change, there has been no reported internal backlash against Punk. Johnson noted that Punk’s comments align closely with growing frustration among WWE talent regarding ticket pricing for the company’s biggest event of the year.
“We have not heard of any fallout from the promo, but we are also told much of what Punk said mirrors backstage frustration among talent over the last several weeks,” Johnson wrote. “We have heard from several talents who have expressed frustration with the fact that tickets are priced so high, that there are so many left for the top show of the year, and that while there are so many available seats, only two comp tickets are being granted to talent for the night they are performing. Anything additional, they would need to purchase themselves.”
WrestleMania 42 is set to take place at the Allegiant Stadium, a venue capable of holding tens of thousands of fans. With a large number of tickets still available weeks before the event, concerns have increased among talent. The policy of granting only two complimentary tickets per performer, while requiring them to pay full price for any additional seats, has added to the dissatisfaction.
Bryan Alvarez also reported that WWE may be considering adjustments to ticket pricing in the coming months. This could indicate that both public comments and internal feedback are starting to influence decision-making.
Punk is currently scheduled to headline WrestleMania 42 Night 2 against Roman Reigns for the World Heavyweight Championship. His promo not only added intensity to that match, but also brought attention to a broader issue affecting both fans and talent.
With WrestleMania approaching, the situation around ticket pricing remains a developing story, both on-screen and behind the scenes.
