Following the G1 Special in USA main event Cody Rhodes confronted Kenny Omega for involving himself in the match. The confrontation took place backstage in the press area after Rhodes lost to Kazuchika Okada for the IWGP Heavyweight Championship.
There was lots of shouting and Rhodes even flipped over the press table and tried to square up to Omega but The Young Bucks and Brandi Rhodes intervened.
