• Cody Rhodes On If AEW Will Have An Authority Storyline

Authority storylines have been a major part of pro-wrestling for decades. WWE still uses them, but it looks like AEW won’t.

The Executive Vice President of AEW, Cody Rhodes, was asked by a fan on Twitter about when AEW will have an authority figure.

Below is is reply:

“Hopefully never. The audience isn’t dumb, they know who management is. Authority elements seem insulting in this era. This is just my opinion, as there’s a lot of fun ways to do this and I respect those.”

Cody obviously isn’t a fan of authority storylines, so don’t expect to see them in AEW anytime soon.
