Danhausen has been active in the media ahead of WrestleMania 42, taking part in several appearances while promoting the event. The WWE Superstar has stayed in character throughout, mixing humor with insight into his career.
Among his recent appearances, Danhausen was featured in a segment involving the Goodyear Blimp, where he jokingly attempted to “curse” Las Vegas. He also made headlines with comments tied to the New York Mets. In addition, he joined Cheap Heat with Peter Rosenberg to discuss his past work and current run.
During the interview, Danhausen addressed how he was used in AEW. He made it clear that his in-ring time was limited, even if fans may have believed otherwise due to his online presence.
“Maybe three or four (times I wrestled in AEW). You didn’t [see much of me in AEW]. You definitely did not. You saw me online a lot. Perception is reality. Danhausen would do vlogs backstage on his own and do videos with his enemies and his friendhausens, and he’d put those out there so maybe it seemed like I was doing more than I was. I was not there. I was doing the independent scenes. That’s what I was doing. About three a weekend or doing conventions and some sort like New York Comic Con and things like that.”
Danhausen also spoke about his WWE debut and revealed that his wife played a role in the presentation. He described the entrance as fitting his unique character.
“The most Danhausen entrance, grand entrance they could have given. Get delivered like Dracula, or he got delivered like me originally, you know? And then, I’ve got all the Ghoulhausens to come out. That is great. One of them was Danhausen’s wonderful wife. Yes, I’m married, yes. Oh yeah [my wife was one of the dancers]. She coordinated all their dances. They get very evil and she did.”
In another appearance, Danhausen showed up on ESPN First Take, where he interacted with Stephen A. Smith. Staying in character, he joked about taking over the network.
“What am I doing here? Well, I’m saying hello. It’s polite to say hi and shake hands on TV. I am here to take over ESPN. It is now ESPNHausen, hosted by Danhausen. We’re on First Take. Hello, Stephen A. Smith, how are you?”
Smith responded by calling him a bad luck charm, which Danhausen quickly rejected. He insisted he brings good luck, then playfully “cursed” Smith while referencing his support for the New York Knicks before exiting the segment.
Danhausen’s appearances have helped build attention for WrestleMania 42 while giving fans a clearer look at his past experiences and creative direction.
