Allin was pulled from the AEW Continental Classic earlier this month after suffering an injury that forced him to step away from competition. At the time, there was little clarity about when he might return. Now, that picture is much brighter.
During today’s AEW Christmas Collision tapings, Allin appeared in front of the crowd and delivered a major update. He announced that he has been medically cleared to return to action. The news brought an immediate buzz inside the arena, as fans reacted to the possibility of seeing one of AEW’s most daring stars back in the mix.
The moment did not stay calm for long. Gabe Kidd quickly interrupted Allin and challenged him to a match at Worlds End. The confrontation made it clear that Allin’s return will not be quiet or easy, as a new rivalry is already waiting for him.
Allin’s injury dates back to his November 26 match on Dynamite against Kevin Knight. The bout left him banged up enough that he had to be taken to the hospital afterward. He was later released, but doctors did not clear him to keep wrestling. Instead, Allin returned home to recover and focus on healing.
Because of that setback, Allin was removed from the Continental Classic tournament. It was a disappointing blow, especially with the spotlight the event has brought to AEW’s top stars. Even so, his health came first, and AEW kept him off the road while he worked toward recovery.
Now that he has been cleared, Allin is ready to jump back into the action. While he is no longer part of the Continental Classic, he is far from being on the sidelines. The challenge from Gabe Kidd gives him an immediate target and a high-profile match to aim for at Worlds End.
