Darby Allin Says He Would “Rather Die Than Say I Quit” – AEW WrestleDream is set to feature a brutal conclusion to one of the company’s most violent rivalries, as Darby Allin and Jon Moxley face off in an I Quit match. Both men are known for their extreme resilience and refusal to surrender, leading many fans to question how either could possibly be forced to say the words “I quit.”
During an appearance on Busted Open Radio, Allin made it clear that he has no intention of quitting under any circumstance. The former TNT Champion spoke passionately about the emotional and physical toll of this feud and why Saturday’s match could mark the end of his rivalry with Moxley.
“Yeah, it’s everything to me. I put my life into this, I’ve sacrificed so much physically and mentally into this storyline and I feel like this is the end on Saturday,” Allin said. “Just like I gave everybody my word that I was going to summit Mount Everest, I’m giving everybody my word that I’m not going to say I Quit. I would rather die than say I Quit. I mean that. There’s a lot of people in wrestling like, ‘You’ll have to kill me.’ No, literally, I don’t give a shit if I die, so you’ll have to kill me.”
Allin’s comments reflect the intense personal investment he’s brought to every stage of this rivalry. His words also highlight the dangerous lengths both he and Moxley are willing to go to in pursuit of victory.
The I Quit stipulation has long been one of the most punishing match types in wrestling, designed to push competitors to their absolute limits. With Moxley’s reputation for endurance and Allin’s reckless fearlessness, their clash at WrestleDream promises to be one of the most emotionally charged and physically demanding matches of the night.
