Details on How WWE Clash in Italy Came Together – WWE’s upcoming Clash in Italy Premium Live Event on May 31 at Inalpi Arena in Turin is being positioned as a major international showcase, with the show also serving a key role in WWE’s growing global distribution strategy through Netflix.
The event, which features a WrestleMania-level card, will air internationally on Netflix as part of WWE’s ongoing partnership with the streaming platform, while U.S. audiences will be able to watch via ESPN Unlimited.
Netflix Vice President of Sports Gabe Spitzer recently spoke about the planning behind the event during an appearance on The Main Event with Andrew Marchand. Spitzer explained that WWE and Netflix executives began coordinating early in 2026, with Italy identified as a priority expansion market.
Spitzer noted that Netflix’s WWE rollout in Italy was set for April, which helped influence the decision to stage a major Premium Live Event in the country shortly afterward.
“When we sit down with them at the beginning of this year, whether it’s Nick Khan or Paul Levesque, their Chief Content Officer, it’s what are places that we can go around the world that’s gonna help grow WWE but also be beneficial to Netflix and this year, we knew, in Italy, we were launching in April and later this month in May, they’re gonna do one of their big PLEs, Premium Live Events in Turin so, it’s a way to push people to watch on Netflix but it’s a way to grow their business as well.”
The decision reflects WWE’s broader international expansion strategy, which has seen Premium Live Events increasingly staged outside the United States in key streaming markets. Clash in Italy is expected to continue that trend with a major card aimed at driving global viewership.
In the United States, the event will air live on ESPN Unlimited, continuing WWE’s split-distribution model for its Premium Live Events depending on region.
