The injury occurred during the main event tag team match, where Dominik teamed with El Grande Americano against his father Rey Mysterio and Rey Fenix.

Bryan Alvarez provided details on the situation shortly after the match, explaining that the injury happened near the finish when Dominik took a DDT from Rey Mysterio. Based on the way Dominik landed, Alvarez indicated the injury could be significant, although nothing has been officially confirmed yet.

“Dom injured his shoulder taking the DDT from his dad near the end of tonight’s main event,” Alvarez wrote. “Based on how he landed, my presumption is it’s likely a shoulder separation, which depending on the severity could be a short-term injury, or worst case scenario surgery. But we won’t know anything until he gets evaluated. He could barely use the arm at all.”

The match itself featured several chaotic moments leading into the finish. Penta, who had been removed from the match earlier due to injury, returned at a critical point to stop El Grande Americano from using a foreign object. Instead, Penta concealed the object inside his mask and struck Dominik with a headbutt. Rey Fenix then wiped out Americano on the outside with a high-impact dive, clearing the way for Rey Mysterio to hit the 619 on his son and score the pinfall victory.

Following the conclusion of the match, the aftermath added to concerns about Dominik’s condition. Dominik was seen shoving Americano in frustration before walking to the back on his own, noticeably favoring his injured arm. Americano appeared confused by the situation but eventually shook hands with Rey Mysterio before exiting the ring.
