Drew McIntyre Stranded in England Due to Passport Issue – Drew McIntyre has hit an unexpected roadblock on his road to SummerSlam — and it’s not inside the ring.

Earlier today, McIntyre revealed that he is currently stuck in England due to passport complications that prevented him from boarding his flight back to the United States. The Scottish Warrior traveled overseas after Friday Night SmackDown to attend a friend’s wedding, but was reportedly denied reentry despite presenting multiple forms of identification, including passport photos and Global Entry credentials.

“Look at the scenic countryside. Does that look like America to you? No, I’m still in England. I was supposed to be back training for SummerSlam — but nope, got blocked,” McIntyre said in a video from the English countryside.

He added that he stayed behind after sending his wife home early to care for their sick cat, and vented his frustration with a bit of storyline flair. In classic McIntyre fashion, he shifted blame to Jelly Roll, the music star who is set to team with Braun Strowman against McIntyre and Solo Sikoa at SummerSlam.

“Jelly Roll, did you pull some strings? Got some connections now that you’re famous? You saw me take my shirt off on SmackDown and realized, ‘Oh no, I’m in trouble.’ So you sabotage my SummerSlam training week? When I get back, I’m gonna drop you, Jelly Roll. And one day, you’re gonna look like one of these f*ers,” he said, gesturing toward a cow.

According to PWInsider, multiple WWE sources have confirmed that the issue is legitimate and not part of a storyline. The company is working behind the scenes to resolve the matter, and although some internal frustration has been expressed, there is confidence McIntyre will return in time for SummerSlam.

McIntyre, who currently resides in Nashville, Tennessee, has been a U.S. resident for years. WWE remains hopeful this travel hiccup won’t derail his participation in the high-profile tag match on August 3.
