Giulia Wins WWE Women’s United States Championship – A new champion has been crowned on the blue brand. Giulia defeated Zelina Vega on the June 27, 2025 episode of WWE SmackDown, capturing the WWE Women’s United States Championship in a hard-fought, back-and-forth match in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The bout opened with a series of pin attempts from both competitors, quickly establishing an aggressive pace. Vega scored two early near falls with a single-leg takedown and quick counters, while Giulia responded with stiff kicks and a suplex that grounded the champion. After sending Giulia to the floor, Vega attempted a moonsault, but the tide turned when Giulia caught her with a leg sweep on the apron, followed by a hanging neckbreaker from the edge of the ring.

Back inside, Giulia hit a missile dropkick, a curb stomp, and a vicious headbutt, nearly securing the win. Vega rallied with Meteora, forearms, and a close near fall after hitting Code Red, but Giulia reached the ropes just in time to stay alive.

In the closing moments, Vega went high-risk and missed a moonsault, allowing Giulia to take full control. She landed a running knee to the head, connected with her signature G Trigger, and sealed the victory with a Northern Lights Bomb to earn the pinfall.
