Health Update on Jim Ross Following Hospitalization

Health Update on Jim Ross Following Hospitalization – As noted, Jim Ross recently disclosed that he had to seek medical attention for shortness of breath while at home in Norman, Oklahoma. Unfortunately, his health setback resulted in his absence from this week’s episode of his podcast, Grilling JR.

In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer provided an update on Ross’s condition, revealing that he will be unable to attend Sunday’s Double or Nothing pay-per-view event at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Ross was slated to provide commentary for some of the matches on the show.

Meltzer stated, “He said that he has a Class A flu and raised heart enzymes to go along with breathing issues but was getting excellent care and expects to be fine in a few days.”

Ross has been battling various health issues in recent years, including cancer surgery in early February and a broken hip earlier this year.

Since joining AEW in 2019 as the lead play-by-play announcer for television and pay-per-view events, Ross has become an integral part of the promotion. In February, he inked a one-year deal with AEW, further solidifying his commitment to the organization.
