Sycho Sid, aka Sid Eudy aka Sid Vicious, has been announced for the 2026 WWE Hall of Fame, and AEW commentator Jim Ross feels that this induction should have happened a long time ago.
Sid, a two-time WWE World Champion, made an impact not just in WWE, but also had a brief run in WCW. His Hall of Fame induction, Ross argued on his “Grilling JR” podcast, was delayed due to politics.
“Well, that’s a question that you could ask over and over and not get a good answer. [It’s down to] Politics, part of it. Politics, I think, has a lot to do with the selection of the individuals that go into the Hall of Fame, and it just, it came around finally to his time,” said the Hall of Famer. “It’s a damn shame that he’s no longer with us to enjoy those moments ’cause he would have enjoyed it. I know going to the Hall of Fame and, you know, Sid matured and grew a lot over the course of time, and he certainly is a Hall of Famer. No doubt about that.”
Eudy sadly passed away in 2024, and he will be posthumously inducted into the Hall of Fame as part of the Class of 2026 Legacy Wing, alongside another late star, Bad News Brown. The 2026 WWE Hall of Fame class also includes Stephanie McMahon, AJ Styles, tag team Demolition, and Dennis Rodman, who will be inducted as part of the Celebrity Wing. This year’s Hall of Fame will also include an Immortal Moment, which debuted last year with the match between Bret Hart and Steve Austin, with this year’s moment being the WrestleMania 3 clash between Hulk Hogan and Andre the Giant.
