John Cena Defeats AJ Styles in His Final Match in Australia at WWE Crown Jewel – John Cena competed in his last-ever match in Australia at WWE Crown Jewel 2025 in Perth, defeating AJ Styles in an emotional and nostalgia-filled showdown that paid tribute to several of their past rivals.

The contest was packed with references to iconic WWE moments. Cena kicked things off by hitting The Miz’s Skull Crushing Finale, before locking in an Accolade/Camel Clutch — prompting the crowd to chant “Rusev Day.” Styles answered with a Coquina Clutch, in what appeared to be a nod to Samoa Joe.

In another tribute, Cena applied Chris Jericho’s Walls of Jericho, earning a loud reaction from the Perth crowd. He later hit Bray Wyatt’s Sister Abigail for a near fall, as fans held up their phones in tribute and chanted “Thank you, Wyatt.”

Styles, meanwhile, showcased his own homages to wrestling history. He delivered Christopher Daniels’ Angel’s Wings and later countered a pedigree into Frankie Kazarian’s Fade To Black piledriver. Cena then responded with a draping DDT followed by a Randy Orton-style RKO, before hitting an Undertaker-inspired chokeslam.

After fans chanted for a 619, Cena attempted the move, but Styles countered with a powerful clothesline. Styles followed with a Shawn Michaels superkick and a Phenomenal Forearm for a near fall. Cena refused to stay down, connecting with two Attitude Adjustments and then a Tombstone Piledriver before hitting a third Attitude Adjustment to secure the victory.

After the match, Cena and Styles shared a moment of mutual respect, raising each other’s hands as Michael Cole noted that only four matches remain in Cena’s career. Cole also reminded viewers that AJ Styles plans to retire in 2026, as confirmed in his recent interview with Tokyo Sports.

With this win, John Cena achieved 100 WWE Premium Live Event wins.
