Kamille Still Under AEW Contract Despite Long Absence from Television

Kamille Still Under AEW Contract Despite Long Absence from Television – Kamille is still under contract with All Elite Wrestling, according to a new report from Fightful Select. The former NWA World Women’s Champion reportedly has “plenty” of time remaining on her AEW deal, but she has not been backstage at recent shows, nor has her name surfaced in current creative discussions.

Kamille joined AEW during the summer of 2024 as the powerhouse bodyguard for Mercedes Moné. During her brief run, she picked up wins over Queen Aminata, Robyn Renegade, and several local competitors before suffering her only AEW loss to Kris Statlander in October. That match would ultimately mark her final appearance before AEW wrote her out of storylines.

According to the report, AEW President Tony Khan was not entirely convinced by the chemistry between Kamille and Moné, which factored into her removal from television. Despite that, Moné was reportedly open to continuing their on-screen partnership and even expressed interest in a future singles match between the two—a plan that never materialized.

Since stepping away from AEW programming, Kamille has focused on a number of outside projects. She appeared in Queen of The Ring and on the rebooted American Gladiator series while also competing for several independent promotions, including Insane Championship Wrestling and Pro Wrestling King.

While Kamille has remained active outside AEW, her contractual obligations still tie her to the company, meaning any potential moves elsewhere would have to wait until her deal expires. For now, AEW reportedly has no immediate creative plans for her return, leaving fans to speculate on whether the powerhouse will reemerge on television or continue pursuing ventures beyond the ring.
