Karrion Kross Credits Fans for Night of Champions Spotlight – Karrion Kross continues to rise as one of WWE’s most talked-about stars, and with that comes no shortage of speculation. The former NXT Champion recently appeared on Foundation Radio, where he directly addressed several rumors circulating online and gave a candid look into how his recent pay-per-view appearance came together.

Kross was asked about one particularly odd rumor — that he allegedly refuses to take flat back bumps in matches. Laughing it off, Kross dismissed the claim entirely.

“I thought out of all the crazy articles that are fabricated about me every week, that was the weakest,” Kross said. He also pointed to another wild rumor he found amusing: “It said something like, ‘Karrion Kross is going to come to Monday Night Raw and he’s going to quit and do a shoot promo live, and then walk out.’ I thought that was a good one.”

Despite the steady flow of outlandish reports, Kross made it clear he doesn’t waste time responding. “There’s a crazy one about me every week or two. You just kind of have to laugh.”

Kross also opened up about his surprise match against Sami Zayn at Night of Champions, revealing that the bout wasn’t originally planned.

“People, fans all over the world are the reason why I was on Night of Champions,” he revealed. “This was something I was told about last minute. This is not something that was in the works. I want people to know that they made that happen. They gave me the time that I really, really have wanted for years now to be able to go out there, tell a story on television, and then blow the match off in a PLE.”

The match in question saw Kross target Zayn with a relentless attack, and the storyline has continued to evolve each week on RAW.

The latest chapter in the rivalry played out during the July 7 episode of WWE RAW, when Kross ambushed Sami Zayn backstage before Zayn could team with Penta in a tag match against Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed. Zayn, clearly hurt from the ambush, would go on to be squashed by Breakker after insisting he could still compete.

Kross later appeared in a backstage interview with Jackie Redmond and made his intentions clear — the attacks will continue until Zayn acknowledges that “Kross told the truth.”

With Zayn now written off television indefinitely due to the compounded injuries, it’s clear Kross is being positioned as a major force in the RAW landscape.
