Karrion Kross Reportedly Receives WWE Contract Offer – An update has emerged regarding the WWE contract status of Karrion Kross and Scarlett, whose current deals are reportedly set to expire this weekend. While the initial report from Fightful Select noted that Kross had not received an offer, a new update from Wrestling Observer Radio now indicates that WWE has extended a contract offer to keep him with the company.
Speaking on the situation, Dave Meltzer confirmed that while Kross’s contract expiration is legitimate, an offer has since been made.
“I was told the story about him not being signed to a contract, I heard that is legit, but he did get an offer,” Meltzer said. “Maybe when the story that he didn’t get an offer was written it was accurate, but I was told he’s gotten an offer and I don’t expect him going anywhere.”
Meltzer also noted that the situation may not be as straightforward as it seems, suggesting that WWE could be intentionally turning the contract uncertainty into a storyline. He compared it to R-Truth’s brief “departure and return” earlier this year, which turned out to be part of an angle. Meltzer also cited Paul Heyman’s recent public praise of Kross during an interview with Ariel Helwani and WWE’s decision to promote Kross’s new book as further indicators that Kross is likely staying with the company.
At this time, WWE has not issued an official statement on the matter, and there’s no word yet on whether Scarlett’s contract has also received an offer or extension. However, signs point to both remaining with WWE, possibly as part of a larger creative direction.
