WWE Hall of Famer Kevin Nash delivered a harsh critique of TKO’s handling of WWE during the latest episode of his Kliq This podcast, targeting corporate involvement in creative decisions, recent talent cuts, and the company’s overall direction under the TKO banner.
Nash strongly defended Triple H, arguing that WWE’s creative success under his leadership has been negatively impacted by executives above him interfering with the product.
According to Nash, Triple H helped guide WWE into a strong creative position during the Netflix era before corporate influence began affecting decisions behind the scenes.
“(Paul) Levesque takes over and everybody loves the direction that he’s carrying the new WWE program into the Netflix era,” Nash said. “Lo and behold, like every other business on earth, the guys above him that don’t have a clue besides get paid more decide to start sticking their dicks where they don’t need to.”
Nash continued by criticizing executives for allegedly forcing certain talent into major positions because of business commitments tied to contracts and partnerships.
“We’re going to throw this guy in. Let’s put this guy in. How about him in the main event? We have a $500 million deal that this guy is locked into,” Nash stated.
He also referenced WWE’s current presentation style while defending Triple H’s creative approach.
“It doesn’t take anything away from Paul Levesque, because Paul Levesque still knows what he’s doing,” Nash added before issuing a direct message toward management. “Get your noses out of creative. Go fuck yourselves. Let Paul run the company.”
Kevin Nash Claims UFC Problems Are Affecting WWE
Nash later shifted his attention toward recent WWE roster cuts, claiming the decisions were financially motivated because of issues connected to UFC under the TKO umbrella.
“If you guys want to cut the talent, don’t throw it in Paul’s lap and make him be the bad guy,” Nash said while discussing the pressure he believes management places on WWE leadership.
He then made his strongest accusation of the interview by claiming UFC’s financial struggles are impacting WWE operations.
“Because UFC is bleeding through every tourniquet that they have, we’re going to cut people from WWE to stop the bleeding from the other company,” Nash stated. “UFC is hemorrhaging money, and WWE isn’t. How about we tell the truth.”
Nash also made it clear that his loyalty to WWE is directly tied to Triple H remaining in charge creatively.
“If something happens and Triple H is no longer at the helm because there is some type of power play, I hope you follow my lead because the minute they mess with him, I’ll have nothing to do with that product the rest of my life,” Nash said.
The comments come amid continued discussion surrounding WWE’s corporate structure following the merger between WWE and UFC under TKO Group Holdings.
Despite Nash’s concerns, Triple H recently signed a new multi-year agreement to remain WWE’s Chief Content Officer. Reports from PWInsider and Bodyslam confirmed the deal in the weeks after WrestleMania 42.
