The Irresistible Forces—Nia Jax and Lash Legend—are the new WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions after defeating RHIYO (Rhea Ripley & Iyo Sky) on the February 27 episode of SmackDown. The match, announced one week earlier, delivered a chaotic and physical showdown that ended with Lash Legend scoring the biggest pinfall of her career.
The closing moments saw Rhea Ripley finally take Nia Jax off her feet with a RipTide, seemingly securing the momentum for the champions. But before Ripley could capitalize, Lash Legend struck from behind with the Lash Extension, dropping Ripley and securing the three‑count to crown new champions.
The match itself was a long, back‑and‑forth battle. Iyo Sky opened with speed and agility, but Lash Legend’s power quickly shifted the momentum. Nia Jax dominated stretches of the match with splashes, leg drops, and a Cobra Clutch, while Lash repeatedly targeted Iyo’s arm and grounded her with heavy strikes and submissions.
Rhea Ripley’s hot tag turned the tide, as she unloaded with clotheslines, a springboard head‑scissors, and a missile dropkick. But the challengers’ size advantage and constant double‑team pressure kept RHIYO fighting from underneath. Nia hit the AnNIAlator on Iyo, forcing Ripley to break the pin. Ripley then managed to hit a RipTide on Nia, but Lash Legend immediately capitalized with her finisher to steal the victory.
The win marks Lash Legend’s first main roster championship and Nia Jax’s latest run with tag team gold. Ripley, meanwhile, now heads into the Women’s Elimination Chamber match with a major setback after taking significant damage throughout the bout.
