News & Notes from 11/5 Dynamite: Full Gear Card, National Title, Blood & Guts & More – AEW Dynamite from Houston, Texas, delivered a packed night of action on November 5, serving as the final stop before next week’s highly anticipated Blood & Guts special. The two-hour broadcast from the Bayou Music Center offered key developments across multiple divisions, setting the tone for both AEW Collision and the upcoming Full Gear pay-per-view.
The night opened with Harley Cameron and Willow Nightingale scoring a major victory over Mercedes Mone and Athena in the AEW Women’s Tag Team Championship Tournament. The win propels Cameron and Nightingale into the second round, where they’ll meet the Sisters of Sin — Julia Hart and Skye Blue — in what promises to be a heated semifinal clash.
AEW also made a major announcement for Full Gear 2025, confirming Mark Briscoe vs. Kyle Fletcher for the TNT Championship. The stakes are high: if Briscoe wins, he becomes the new champion, but if he loses, he must leave The Conglomeration and join The Don Callis Family.
A new title picture took shape with an update on the AEW National Championship. The first champion will be crowned at Full Gear through a Casino Gauntlet match. The initial entrants announced are The Hurt Syndicate’s Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin. AEW confirmed that this championship will be defended across multiple promotions, including ROH and NJPW STRONG, broadening its global prestige.
In the Men’s Blood & Guts Advantage Battle Series, Claudio Castagnoli defeated Orange Cassidy to give The Conglomeration an early edge. However, Darby Allin later beat Daniel Garcia to even the score. The decisive advantage will be determined on AEW Collision when Jon Moxley faces Roderick Strong.
The Women’s Blood & Guts Advantage Battle Series also began with Megan Bayne defeating Mina Shirakawa. Chaos erupted when Toni Storm, serving as guest commentator, was attacked by Marina Shafir of The Death Riders. The remaining matches for this series will conclude on Collision.
Finally, AEW announced that next week’s episode will feature Hangman Page vs. Powerhouse Hobbs in a Falls Count Anywhere match, along with the Men’s and Women’s Blood & Guts bouts, ensuring a stacked lineup for the special edition of Dynamite.
Here is the current card for AEW Full Gear:
