Nixon Newell and Miranda Alize Reportedly Done with AEW After Collision Dispute – Nixon Newell and Miranda Alize are reportedly not expected to be booked by All Elite Wrestling again following a disagreement regarding their planned match for the November 8 episode of AEW Collision. The situation was discussed by Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, who stated, “All I know is I do not expect these two to be booked in AEW.”
The two made their AEW debut on the November 1 episode of Collision, where they faced Marina Shafir and Megan Bayne. According to reports, there were issues during the match that left Bayne frustrated, particularly a miscommunication involving a double German suplex spot. Bryan Alvarez mentioned on Wrestling Observer Radio that several people within AEW were surprised Newell and Alize were even brought back after those problems.
Despite the prior tension, Newell and Alize were booked again to face TayJay (Tay Melo and Anna Jay) in a short, three-minute match on the November 8 Collision broadcast. However, both wrestlers reportedly objected to the match’s format, believing that such a short bout would not be beneficial for anyone involved. Once their concerns were relayed to AEW management, they were told they were free to leave.
While Newell and Alize have publicly stated that there was no bad blood, both Meltzer and Alvarez have reported otherwise. Alvarez described the internal reaction within AEW as overwhelmingly negative, saying, “Let me tell you something. I heard from a lot of people and what was amazing was I was hearing from people as the show was going on… maybe Tony told them there was no hard feelings. Hard feelings is the wrong word. Bad blood, I don’t know how you would term it, but there were so many people that were like, ‘What a stupid thing to do.’ That’s the one thing I heard over and over, ‘What a stupid thing to do.’”
Newell, formerly known as Tegan Nox in WWE, has spoken openly about her struggles to secure consistent work since her WWE release in late 2024. In mid-2025, she admitted to experiencing a “severe lack of bookings.” Between those remarks and her AEW debut on November 1, she had competed in just eight matches.
