Adding an intriguing twist to this encounter, the current reigning champion, “Dirty” Dominik Mysterio, has taken on the role of the special guest referee for the bout. Elsewhere on the show, Tiffany Stratton will defend the NXT Women’s Championship against Kiana James. James beat Gigi Dolin, Roxanne Perez, and Tiffany Stratton to earn a title shot on Tuesday.

Tyler Bate has also challenged Dabba-Kato to face him after the latter attacked Bate on August 22 during his match against Joe Coffey. Bate vs. Dabba-Kato was originally advertised for the August 29 episode.

WWE also confirmed that Ilja Dragunov will face Oro Mensah, and the Global Heritage Invitational tournament will continue.

After experiencing a defeat on tonight’s show, a fired-up Eddy Thorpe voiced his frustrations on a digital exclusive. Thorpe expressed his weariness towards Dijak’s questionable tactics and declared that their ongoing rivalry is by no means concluded. Although an official match between the two competitors has not been confirmed at the moment, it’s evident that their paths will intersect once again, suggesting that their conflict will continue to unfold in some capacity.
