The rising WWE star discussed the origin of the walk during an appearance on What’s Your Story with Stephanie McMahon, following his standout entrance at the Royal Rumble event in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Femi said the idea came from studying Flair’s well-known strut, but he wanted to update it to fit his own style and presence. He explained that the changes were intentional, adding more movement and energy to make it feel current and unique.

“It is kind of like a twist on Ric Flair,” Femi said. “I made it more modern. There is more arm action, more shoulder motion. People are doing it online. It is catching fire right now. I really should start a TikTok because it is going crazy.”

The WWE talent noted that fans have started copying the move, especially on social media, which shows how quickly it has gained attention. While many try to recreate it, Femi pointed out that most miss a key detail that defines the strut.

“A lot of people ask me how I do the strut,” Femi said. “People think it is just up. No, no. It is the shoulders. It is all in the shoulders.”

Femi also addressed how he had to adjust the strut during his Royal Rumble entrance due to the long ramp in the stadium. He explained that the setting required him to change his pace while keeping the signature motion intact.

“Long ramp, you have to do long strides to get where you are going quicker,” Femi said. “More shoulders in there than usual.”

In addition to the strut, Femi’s entrance gear has become a key part of his presentation. He wears beads to honor his Nigerian heritage, and he revealed that he has collected around 15 different colors since joining WWE. He tries to match them with his ring gear when possible, adding another layer to his overall look.
