Oba Femi Targets Roman Reigns After Defeating Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 42

Oba Femi scored the biggest win of his career at WrestleMania 42 Sunday, defeating Brock Lesnar in the opening match and immediately setting his sights on Roman Reigns.

Femi overcame Lesnar in a dominant showing, surviving an F5 before finishing the match with Fall From Grace to secure the victory. The result marked a major moment for Femi, who stepped into the spotlight against one of WWE’s most established names.

Speaking on the WrestleMania 42 post-show, Femi addressed the significance of the win.

“It feels amazing. It’s one thing to tell everybody what you are, it’s another thing to show everybody what you are. I took 25 years of history. 25 years of The Beast, and I made it null, because I am who I say I am. I am the Ruler, the Destroyer, the Bringer of War, Oba Femi,” he said.

During the discussion, Corey Graves pointed out how composed Femi appeared heading into the match. Femi admitted that was part of his approach.

“You said I wasn’t fazed. It seemed that way, but at the end of the day, it’s Brock Lesnar. I was fazed. I understood how big the challenge was ahead of me, but you can’t show fear to someone like that. He feasts on stuff like that. Once he knows you are afraid, his confidence rises. I knew if I showed any fear, it’s over for me,” he explained.

Following the loss, Lesnar removed his gloves and boots and left them in the ring, a moment widely interpreted as a sign of retirement, though no official confirmation has been announced.

Femi also made it clear that he is now looking ahead to the next stage of his career.

“In the coming weeks is the establishment of a new main event player. At the end of the year, the OTC CAN GET SOME!”

That statement directly points toward Roman Reigns, who closed WrestleMania 42 by defeating CM Punk to win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
