Opening Segment and Main Event Revealed for Tonight’s WWE SmackDown – WWE has finalized several late changes for tonight’s February 20 episode of Friday Night SmackDown, and new details have emerged regarding how the show is structured.
Earlier in the day, WWE confirmed that Rhea Ripley would replace IYO SKY in a singles match against Giulia. Now, a report from Bodyslam has revealed which bout is currently scheduled to close the broadcast.
According to the report, the Men’s Elimination Chamber Qualifying Match featuring Damian Priest, Carmelo Hayes, and Trick Williams is planned as the main event. The Triple Threat contest will determine the final entrant in the Men’s Elimination Chamber match, adding clear stakes to the closing segment of the night.
Bodyslam also noted that the internal rundown lists Cody Rhodes as the planned opening segment for the show. While WWE has not officially announced Rhodes for an opening appearance, the report indicates that he is scheduled to start the broadcast.
As with any internal lineup, the format remains subject to change. WWE frequently adjusts match order and segments in the hours leading up to a live show. Still, if the current plan holds, fans can expect Rhodes to set the tone at the start of the night, with the high-stakes Triple Threat qualifying match headlining the episode.
With Elimination Chamber just days away, tonight’s SmackDown is positioned to play a key role in finalizing the field and shaping momentum heading into the premium live event.
