NXT Roster Reaches Houston After Travel Delays

NXT Roster Reaches Houston After Travel Delays

The NXT roster has safely arrived in Houston, Texas for tonight’s CW Network broadcast, despite major travel disruptions caused by severe weather across the Southeast.

According to PWInsider.com, nearly all scheduled talent and staff made it to Houston in time for the show. “Just about everyone one would expect to be in town for the taping are indeed in Houston,” PWInsider reported. “It was an extremely rough travel day, but the crew made it to Texas.”

The travel issues began on Monday when strong thunderstorms and tornadoes impacted several areas across the Southeast. The severe weather led to a ground stoppage at Orlando International Airport, where many members of the NXT roster were set to depart. Flights out of Orlando were delayed for more than four hours, creating uncertainty about whether talent would arrive on time for the live broadcast.

Despite those challenges, WWE closely monitored the situation and ensured that the roster reached Houston without major changes to the scheduled show.

Tonight’s episode of NXT will air live from 713 Music Hall in Houston on the CW Network. The show comes at an important time for the brand, with only three episodes remaining before Stand and Deliver 2026.

The card is set to be headlined by a triple threat match for the NXT Women’s Championship. Jacy Jayne will defend her title against Sol Ruca and Zaria in what is expected to be a key match leading into Stand and Deliver.

With the roster now in place, WWE can move forward as planned with one of its final major stops before the April 4 premium live event in St. Louis, Missouri.

The successful arrival of the NXT roster ensures that tonight’s broadcast will proceed without disruption, despite the difficult travel conditions that impacted much of the Southeast earlier this week.

Tickets for WrestleMania 42 Premium Seats on Sale March 20

WWE has officially announced a new ticket option for WrestleMania 42, offering fans a unique viewing experience inside Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.

In a press release issued on March 17, WWE confirmed that, for the first time, fans will be able to purchase seats positioned directly atop the WrestleMania set. These premium seats will be available in limited quantity and are designed to provide an elevated perspective of the event.

WrestleMania 42 is scheduled to take place across two nights, on Saturday, April 18 and Sunday, April 19. The event will be held at Allegiant Stadium, continuing WWE’s recent trend of hosting WrestleMania in large-scale venues with custom stage designs.

According to WWE, ticket sales for these premium set-top seats will begin on Friday, March 20 at 1 PM Eastern Time (ET), which is 10 AM Pacific Time (PT). Fans will be able to purchase them through Ticketmaster.com, while supplies last.

Each year, WrestleMania is known for its elaborate stage setup, often built around a specific theme that reflects the host city. For WrestleMania 41, the set design leaned into the Las Vegas atmosphere, featuring a resort-style concept that highlighted the city’s entertainment identity. WWE has confirmed that the WrestleMania 42 set will be revealed in the days leading up to the event, keeping details under wraps for now.

The addition of seating atop the stage marks a notable change in how fans can experience WrestleMania live. These positions are expected to offer a different angle compared to traditional seating, potentially giving attendees a closer look at entrances and production elements.

General tickets for WrestleMania 42 are still available through Ticketmaster.com. With the event approaching, demand is expected to remain high as WWE prepares for one of its biggest shows of the year.

This announcement adds another layer to WrestleMania 42, as WWE continues to expand its live event presentation and offer new experiences for fans attending in person.

Backstage News on CM Punk – Roman Reigns Segment on WWE RAW

Backstage News on CM Punk – Roman Reigns Segment on WWE RAW

The March 16 episode of WWE RAW ended with a major moment between CM Punk and Roman Reigns, but the final scene was not the original plan heading into the show.

The closing segment at the Frost Bank Center in San Antonio featured a tense face-to-face exchange between the two WrestleMania opponents. Roman Reigns came to the ring to address CM Punk following weeks of growing tension. The situation quickly escalated once Punk joined him inside the ring.

During the exchange, Reigns took aim at Punk with personal remarks, including a jab at his age. That line pushed the segment into physical territory, as Punk responded without hesitation and struck Reigns with a punch that dropped him to the mat. The moment ended WWE RAW on a strong note, with Punk standing tall over The Tribal Chief.

The closing visual drew a loud reaction from the live crowd and added more intensity to their upcoming WrestleMania match. However, a new report suggests that WWE had originally planned a very different direction for the segment.

According to Bodyslam, the creative plan was changed before the show went live. The original script reportedly called for Roman Reigns to respond to CM Punk’s earlier comments about his father, Sika, with a much more controversial line involving Punk’s dog, Larry.

Instead of moving forward with that idea, WWE made a late adjustment and shifted the focus of the segment. The version that aired kept the tension centered on personal insults between the two stars, without crossing into more sensitive territory. This change allowed the segment to stay intense while avoiding unnecessary backlash.

The decision also gave CM Punk the final moment of the night, as he stood over Reigns after knocking him down. That visual may play a key role in how momentum is perceived heading into WrestleMania.

With the event approaching, the rivalry between Roman Reigns and CM Punk continues to build each week on WWE RAW. This latest development shows that WWE is still fine-tuning the presentation of the feud while keeping the focus on delivering a strong main event program.

Claudio Castagnoli’s Next CMLL Title Defense Will Be Against Fellow AEW Star

Swerve Strickland Says Absent AEW Star Has A Lot To Offer Wrestling: ‘He’s A Dog’

AEW’s Swerve Strickland’s stock has risen substantially since his switch to AEW from WWE, and he feels that another star who took the same path, Buddy Matthews, has a promising future too.

Strickland was recently asked on his appearance on the “Battleground Podcast” about a wrestler whom he has never faced before that he would like to wrestle. The former AEW World Champion, without skipping a beat, named the injured AEW star Matthews as someone he would like to face, while wishing him a speedy recovery.

“Honestly, I’m waiting for probably one of the best talents like all around in the business to come back, you know, hopefully he’s healthy and hopefully he can like do even better than what he was giving before — Buddy Matthews, shout out to him,” said Strickland. “He’s one of those guys that’s just like a dog in the rain. I think me and him could do some great work, and I look forward to seeing him back doing his own thing and doing like, you know … I think he has a lot to offer in the wrestling world, and I would like to see him back healthy again.”

Matthews and Strickland have never faced each other in the ring, despite both being part of WWE and AEW at the same time. And it may be some time before Strickland’s fantasy match becomes a reality due to the Australian’s injury. Matthews has been out of action for over a year after suffering an injury in a match against Kazuchika Okada on home soil. There’s no news on Matthews’ return date, with recent reports claiming that the injury is worse than originally feared. AEW reportedly was eyeing a return for him at the end of 2025, which couldn’t happen as Matthews is still reportedly suffering from pain from his ankle injury.
