Travel Issues May Affect NXT Show in Houston

Travel Issues May Affect NXT Show in Houston

Travel issues may affect the upcoming WWE NXT Show scheduled for Houston, Texas, as several members of the roster are currently stuck at Orlando International Airport due to a ground stoppage.

The situation has raised concerns inside WWE as the company prepares for Tuesday’s television taping. The WWE NXT travel delays Houston situation is being monitored closely to determine whether the talent will arrive on time for the event.

Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer reported the situation on Monday, noting that flights leaving Orlando have already experienced major delays.

“NXT talent apparently stuck at the Orlando airport which is currently at a ground stoppage with flights delayed so far above four hours,” Alvarez wrote. “NXT is in Houston tomorrow and WWE is monitoring the situation in case they can’t get out of Orlando.”

The delays are linked to thunderstorms moving through the Orlando area. Severe weather has disrupted flight schedules, leading to multiple cancellations and delays at Orlando International Airport. As a result, the WWE NXT roster scheduled to travel to Houston has been unable to depart as planned.

WWE officials are reportedly tracking the situation carefully. The company must determine whether the talent will be able to reach Houston in time for the scheduled taping at 713 Music Hall. If the delays continue or flights are canceled, the travel disruption could force adjustments to the planned show.

The timing of the travel issues is notable because WWE NXT is entering a critical period leading into its next major event. Only three television episodes remain before Stand and Deliver 2026 takes place in April. This means each episode plays a key role in building storylines and setting up matches for the premium event.

Despite the uncertainty caused by the WWE NXT travel delays Houston situation, several matches and segments have already been announced for the upcoming episode. The card currently includes Booker T Appreciation Night, which will celebrate the WWE Hall of Famer’s contributions to the brand.

In addition, the NXT Women’s Championship will be defended in a triple threat match. Champion Jacy Jayne is scheduled to face Sol Ruca and Zaria. The Women’s North American Championship will also be on the line, with Tatum Paxley defending her title against Izzi Dame inside a steel cage.

The show will also feature a tournament match to determine the next challengers for the NXT Tag Team Championship. Hank and Tank are scheduled to face Birthright in that contest.

Other announced matches include Fallon Henley defending the Women’s WWE Speed Championship against Wren Sinclair, while Vanity Project will face Los Americanos in tag team action.

As of now, WWE has not provided any further updates regarding the travel situation. Officials are continuing to monitor the weather and flight status as they work to ensure the roster can reach Houston in time for the scheduled broadcast.

Steve Austin Addresses WWE RAW 3:16 Day and WrestleMania 42 Status

Steve Austin Addresses WWE RAW 3:16 Day and WrestleMania 42 Status

Fans hoping to see Steve Austin during the WWE RAW broadcast on March 16 will not get that moment. The WWE Hall of Famer confirmed he will not appear on the San Antonio show despite the event taking place on the symbolic date tied to his famous catchphrase. The Steve Austin WWE RAW 3:16 Day discussion gained attention among fans online, but Austin made it clear that he will not be part of the show.

Austin addressed the speculation during an interview with The Takedown on Sports Illustrated. When asked directly whether viewers should expect to see him at WWE RAW, he explained that he will be focused on a different commitment connected to his racing career.

“Man, they should tune in because they love WWE and Monday Night Raw,” Austin said. “But I am out. I will be a few days out from that race, the race I am talking about with my racing career, and we are trying to get that car ready. We are working our asses off. So yeah, I will be hunkered down in a garage out here in BFE Nevada, trying to get this buggy ready, a side-by-side utility vehicle, to race this grueling 250-mile race with everybody else I race with. I want to get out there and put my own show on out there in the desert.”

Austin also spoke with Busted Open Radio, where he was asked about the possibility of appearing during WrestleMania 42 weekend. While he said he would be open to doing something with WWE again, he stressed that the focus should remain on the current roster.

“It’s funny because you’ll sit there or they’ll put something on Instagram and people will say, oh, no, no, man, he’s too old, let the current talent have the spotlight,” Austin said. “Let the current talent have the spotlight, of course. If I can go out there and do something, that’d be fine. They got a pretty good roster, you know? So I think those guys and gals, they need all the time.”

During the same interview, Austin looked back at his appearance at WrestleMania 41 in 2025. He drove an ATV to the ring to announce the night two attendance but accidentally crashed into the ringside barrier, which knocked down a fan. Austin admitted he was frustrated with how the moment played out.

“God damn, when I crashed that four-wheeler last year up there against that wall, man, you talk about stting the bed big time,” Austin said. “I was so pissed off about that. Because I was looking forward to going out there and announcing the attendance and then watching the show, seeing what kind of show the superstars were going to put on. And, man, I st the bed on the big stage.”

Even with that incident, Austin said he hopes WWE will invite him back in the future.

“We’ll see if they have me back,” Austin said. “If they do, that’s cool.”

Austin will still be present during WrestleMania 42 weekend in Las Vegas. He is scheduled to appear as a guest at the WWE World convention, where fans will have the chance to meet him. However, he clarified that if he returns to WWE programming again, it would likely be for a special appearance rather than a match.

The confirmation means the Steve Austin WWE RAW 3:16 Day speculation has now been settled, with Austin focusing on racing instead of appearing on the March 16 episode.

Ronda Rousey’s AEW Revolution Appearance Reportedly Caught Most of WWE Off Guard

Ronda Rousey’s AEW Revolution Appearance Reportedly Caught Most of WWE Off Guard

Ronda Rousey’s surprise appearance at AEW Revolution reportedly took much of WWE by surprise.

According to Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer, only a very small group within WWE knew in advance that Rousey would appear at the pay-per-view. The report states that the majority of personnel in the company were unaware of the plan and were shocked when she showed up on the broadcast. Her involvement was reportedly kept tightly under wraps leading into the event.

Rousey made the appearance during AEW Revolution on March 15 at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. The moment came shortly after Toni Storm defeated Marina Shafir. Following the match, Rousey entered the ring and confronted Storm before security rushed out to prevent things from escalating. Rousey eventually exited through the crowd alongside Shafir, receiving heavy boos from the audience.

The appearance marked Rousey’s first televised moment in professional wrestling since leaving WWE in 2023. After departing the company, she made a handful of appearances on the independent scene and in Ring of Honor, where she teamed with Shafir. Her last match prior to AEW Revolution took place at an ROH television taping in November 2023.

Outside of wrestling, Rousey is also preparing for a return to mixed martial arts. She is scheduled to face Gina Carano in May 2026 under the Most Valuable Promotions banner. The fight is expected to stream on Netflix. The bout will mark Rousey’s first MMA fight since her loss to Amanda Nunes at UFC 207 in December 2016.

Rousey’s professional wrestling run began with her debut at WrestleMania 34 in 2018, where she teamed with Kurt Angle against Triple H and Stephanie McMahon. During her time with WWE, she held both the RAW Women’s Championship and the SmackDown Women’s Championship before leaving the company in 2023.

As of now, no official announcement has been made regarding Rousey’s long-term status with All Elite Wrestling. Tony Khan briefly addressed the appearance during the post-event press conference.

AEW Revolution 2026: Biggest Winners & Losers

Look man, I get it. AEW is for the sickos. But some of us are normal people who have to work in the morning. If AEW is going to run on a Sunday, they need to curb the 4.5 hour extravaganzas, or strictly become a Saturday night PPV promotion.

Last night was ridiculous. I understand that buying a ticket means you’ve got to take the ride, but I’m tired of wrestling punishing me for being a normal person, who works normal hours, and quite frankly can’t just mainline the product for hours on end. Maybe I’m just not the right kind of junkie for AEW shows, but it doesn’t change the fact that I’m not the only one. When you have both me and Dave Meltzer on the same side, you have united the disparate masses and should probably listen: The show was too f***ing long.

You want wrestling to live forever? You need to make shows that the kids can easily watch. I’m not saying give me a bloodless, 4-match card, but there needs to be some kind of balancing act.

I’m tired of asking “Is this all a little too much?” and being greeted by the vacant, overstimulated stare of the AEW faithful, who seem to say “It is too much, and isn’t it great?” as their lives melt away, one overlong show at a time. This is one of the downsides of making a wrestling promotion for people who will stay up for NJPW shows until the cold light of dawn comes peeking through the blinds.

WWE Raw Results 3/16 – Roman Reigns Appears, Women’s Intercontinental Championship On The Line

Welcome to Wrestling Inc.’s live coverage for “WWE Raw” on March 16, 2026, coming to you live from the Frost Bank Center in San Antonio, Texas!

2026 Men’s Royal Rumble winner Roman Reigns will be making an appearance on tonight’s show as he continues to prepare to challenge CM Punk for the World Heavyweight Championship. After Punk sent a message to Reigns last Monday, Jey Uso and Jimmy Uso confronted him to stand up for their cousin. Tensions between Punk and The Usos only grew from their, with the latter duo not taking too kindly to the former’s thoughts about what members of the Anoa’ family would think about Reigns.

AJ Lee will be putting the Women’s Intercontinental Championship on the line for the first time since dethroning Becky Lynch at WWE Elimination Chamber at WWE Elimination Chamber on February 28 as she defends against Bayley. Bayley emerged victorious against her close friend Lyra Valkyria, IYO SKY, Ivy Nile, Asuka of the Kabuki Warriors, and Judgment Day’s Raquel Rodriguez in a Number One Contenders Gauntlet Match by last eliminating Asuka to secure her spot in tonight’s bout.

Speaking of Rodriguez, she will be competing in a match of her own as she goes head-to-head with reigning Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer in a non-title match. Rodriguez’s stablemate and 2026 Women’s Royal Rumble winner Liv Morgan will be challenging Vaquer for her title at WWE WrestleMania 42 as tensions between the pair continue to meteorically be on the rise.

Former friends turned bitter rivals Nattie and Maxxine Dupri will be colliding with one another in the ring once again tonight. The two women have squared off against one another on two previous occasions, with their match on the February 9 episode of “Raw” ending in a double countout and their match on the February 23 edition of “Raw” ending with the referee awarding Nattie the victory after it was determined Dupri could no longer continue.

OG El Grande Americano (who resembles Chad Gable) has been on a quest to put an end to El Grande Americano (who resembles Ludwig Kaiser) since making his return to WWE, scoring wins against Grande’s Los Americano stablemates Rayo Americano and Bravo Americano in a tag team match that also involved Je’Von Evans on February 9 and Rayo in a singles match on the March 2 episode of “Raw”. Tonight, OG Grande finally has the chance to get his hands on Grande as the two men meet one another in the ring.

Additionally, Brock Lesnar will be appearing on tonight’s show after issuing an Open Challenge to WrestleMania 42 to whoever wishes to answer the call.
