AEW’s Jeff Jarrett Comments On WWE Shareholder Lawsuit Not Going To Trial

The WWE Shareholders trial that was supposed to begin this week was canceled on Sunday as the parties reached a settlement that still needs to be approved by the court. The trial was only scheduled to last a week and Vince McMahon along with several TKO executives would have testified.

On a recent episode of “My World” Jeff Jarrett weighed in on the lawsuit cancellation. “Someone is going to write a big, fat check and lawyers are going to walk away with a lot of money and TKO is going to keep marching on down the road, making a little bit more money and a little bit more money.” He thinks it will “be a non-issue until the earnings come out” and “it will be a 24 hour news cycle” when it does.

Details of the settlement are unknown, but it has been speculated that the amount will not be enough to harm TKO financially. It is also unclear if WWE’s insurance will cover the payments of several employees including Nick Khan and Paul Levesque’s part of the settlement.

Ex-WWE Board Member Thinks Nick Khan Tipped Off Wall Street Journal About Janel Grant

Thanks to a judge unsealing confidential information as part of the recently settled WWE shareholder lawsuit, new suspicions regarding who tipped off the Wall Street Journal regarding the WWE’s investigation into hush money payments Vince McMahon made to Janel Grant and others have emerged. Taking to Instagram on Wednesday, Grant posted the deposition of Michelle McKenna, who served on WWE’s Board of Directors from September 2022 to October 2023. In her testimony, McKenna stated it was her opinion that WWE President Nick Khan had leaked the story to the press.

McKenna’s belief was, in part, formed by her theory that the leaker was someone not on the WWE Board, but rather someone in management that “was privy to board meetings and privy to documents, who may have wanted Vince out. She also stated she didn’t think McMahon’s daughter, former WWE CEO Stephanie McMahon and her husband, current WWE chief content officer Paul Levesque, were involved in the leak. During cross examination, McKenna admitted she had no evidence confirming Khan’s involvement, but remained firm that she believed Khan had been the leaker.

Since the emergence of hush money scandal and Grant’s subsequent lawsuit against McMahon and WWE, accusing the former of sex trafficking and abuse, Khan has become a key figure in both, including being accused by Grant of having knowledge of her relationship with McMahon. McKenna’s testimony, however, is the first time anyone has suggested that Khan, or anyone, had been responsible for the story leaking to the press. Khan has remained largely quiet regarding the lawsuit and scandals surrounding McMahon, though he gave some testimony on it during his own deposition as part of the shareholder lawsuit.

AEW’s Jeff Jarrett Says Tony Khan Will Appear On TNA Episode Of Dark Side Of The Ring

There’s only a few weeks left until the seventh season of “Dark Side of the Ring” premieres with its first ever three-part episode. Those episodes are reserved for the story of TNA Wrestling and includes interviews with many talent including Jeff Jarrett and The Hardy Boys. Matt Hardy said that he and his brother were interviewed for a couple of hours and also revealed that this might be the show’s final season.

VICE released the official trailer for season 7 that features Hardy, Samoa Joe, Eddie Kingston, and Scott Steiner. It also featured a surprising person; AEW owner Tony Khan. In the clip he says, “it is ‘Dark Side of the Ring’ after all.” On a recent episode of “My World”, Jarrett confirms Khan in on the TNA episode when talking about surprising people being involved. “You saw Tony Khan sat down in front of it.” He said it’s possible that they asked Khan about other things for some of the upcoming episodes this season.

Jarrett said the episode was only supposed to be an hour, but “Dark Side and VICE were like, there’s no way we can tell this story in one hour. So, two hours. And then they got to that point and said ‘we’re not doing the story justice’, three hours. They said it could have easily gone into four hours.” Jarrett revealed he was interviewed in his home, but they wanted to interview Karen Jarrett elsewhere. When she got home, she was exhausted “because having to relive some of that is extremely emotional.” He said there are some “real rough spots” on these episodes.

Season 7 of “Dark Side of the Ring” begins on July 7 with a special two-hour premiere. The final hour of TNA’s story will air the following week.

TKO Announces New Global Partnership With SuperFile Across WWE & UFC

If there’s one thing that TKO Holdings Group loves more than money, it’s new sponsorship opportunities that help them bring in more money. And on Tuesday, they added another to the fold for both WWE and UFC. In a press release, TKO announced a new global partnership with SuperFile, “an American technology company building the future of digital ownership through trust, control, and simplicity.”

As part of this partnership, SuperFile will now become the first ever “Official Secure File Sharing Partner” for both UFC and WWE. The partnership will formally kick off this weekend, as SuperFile joins Crypto.com and RAM Trucks as the official sponsors for UFC Freedom 250, which will take place on the South Lawn of the White House.

“Brands that earn a place inside UFC and WWE understand that these platforms deliver more than reach — they deliver relevance at the highest level of sports and entertainment,” TKO VP and Head of US Global Partnerships Robby Miller said in a statement. “SuperFile is redefining how organizations protect, control, and share their digital content, and they are entering the conversation at exactly the right moment. From UFC Freedom 250 on the South Lawn of the White House, to Conor McGregor’s highly anticipated return during International Fight Week, to WrestleMania, SuperFile is using some of the world’s most-watched sports and entertainment events to make a powerful statement about the future of digital ownership.”

The new partnership comes only days after WWE settled its shareholder lawsuit, which had featured accusations that WWE executives had attempted to delete messages containing potential evidence of the messaging app Signal. As such, WWE’s partnership with SuperFile, a file sharing company, may be seen as ironic to some fans.

Nikki Bella’s Dream Opponents For Her Final WWE Run Include Rhea Ripley, Liv Morgan

Nikka Bella’s return to WWE hasn’t gone according to plan. Unfortunately for the WWE Hall of Famer, she suffered an injury ahead of WrestleMania 42, leading to her sister, Brie, teaming with former WWE Divas Champion Paige. While Nikki rests up, she’s been keeping tabs on WWE talent she’d like to face before she finally hangs up her boots.

“I definitely think I have to do something with Liv [Morgan] before I’m done, because it’s there,” she said during an interview with “Casino Guru News,” before recalling a social media tiff she recently had with Morgan. “Even when we went at each other on social media last week, because when I was watching, I was like, ‘Excuse me.’ You naturally saw the engagement immediately, so you could tell there’s unfinished business there.”

But Morgan isn’t the only WWE star on whom Nikki has her sights set.

“I would love my last story to be with Rhea Ripley,” Nikki continued. “I would love to have that with her, and I hope I get to be mixed in with some of the new girls, too, on my way out. Like Blake Monroe would be another one.”

The former Women’s North American Champion intrigues Bella.

“I look at what can I use personally to bring up, and with all those girls, there’s past stuff that we get to bring into it. Even with Blake Monroe,” Bella said, “and that’s when stuff is gold.”

The former WWE Divas Champion feels that the intensity of the promos in the women’s division excites her.

“I’m like, ‘Yes, this is what I’m talking about,'” she exclaimed. “Even though I was like, ‘Ow, you guys are so mean,’ that’s the stuff I love. Get personal. We’re not here to not hurt feelings. This is wrestling. Go hurt feelings.”

As it stands, Bella is still recovering from her injury, forcing her to miss the WWE European tour, but she recently said that her recovery was progressing nicely.
