David Otunga Reveals Five WWE Evolve Stars He’d Pick For A New Version Of Nexus

On his search for a Nexus tag team, Otunga came across two more large men who’ve worked as singles stars in “Evolve.” If put together, however, Otunga believes they could be unstoppable

“They’re not a tag team, but I went with Drake Morreaux and Sam Holloway,” Otunga said. “In fact, I saw them have a match against each other, believe it or not. These are two big dudes. Both of them appealed to me. I like Morreaux, but also, that’s a big guy. I think he’s six-seven, something like that. And then you get Sam Holloway who’s six-nine. He’s different. I like the stuff he was doing. Even how he gets in the ring, it’s like he starts to step over and does like this little springboard hop that was unexpected. But I like both of their styles and just the confidence they carried themselves with.”

For his future world champion, Otunga landed on former “WWE LFG” star Kam Hendrix (real name Anthony Luke), whom he describes as a talent with real “presence.” Otunga further praised Hendrix for his promo skills, charisma, and look, which stands at six-foot-four inches tall.

“If you have the rest of these people behind him, this is the team right here,” Otunga said. “This is a dominant faction.”

Should Armstrong, Carver, Morreaux, Holloway, and Hendrix join forces, Otunga believes they could unleash an “NXT” takeover so big that they’d hold all of the brand’s gold within six months. Armstrong could carry the NXT Women’s Championship, while Morreaux and Holloway seize the brand’s tag titles. Elsewhere, Carver would claim the NXT North American Championship, while Hendrix captures the top prize, the NXT Championship.

TNA’s Cedric Alexander Explains Why He Didn’t Join The Hurt Syndicate In AEW

When Cedric Alexander parted ways with WWE last year, many fans thought it was a no-brainer that he’d reunite with Bobby Lashley, Shelton Benjamin, and MVP by joining The Hurt Syndicate in AEW. However, Alexander has instead gone off to TNA to make a name for himself in the X Division. During an appearance on “Busted Open Radio,” Alexander shared his thoughts on The Hurt Syndicate and implied he turned down an AEW offer.

“Bobby, Shelton, MVP – they’re all legit close friends of mine, so I was very happy for them, that they got to bring the group back and finish their stories, their careers the way they wanted to,” he said. Alexander admitted that part of him would’ve liked to join them, but he has other aspirations at the moment. “When I had the opportunity to go to AEW, I was looking at it in the sense of: well, for them, they’re finishing their careers with The Hurt Business. I still got another ten-fifteen years to go, so I kind of want to do my own thing and just be my own man for awhile.”

Alexander said he doesn’t want his career to be just linked to The Hurt Syndicate, so while he’s happy for his friends in AEW, he chose to carve out his own legacy in pro wrestling. At this stage, Alexander is aligned with The System stable in TNA, and had a recent main event clash against Moose on “TNA iMPACT!” this week, which he won.

Good Brothers Think They Should Be The Ones To Induct AJ Styles Into WWE Hall Of Fame

The trio of AJ Styles, Luke Gallows, and Karl Anderson have a history that dates back long before their time together in WWE as The O.C. All three were key members of the Bullet Club in New Japan Pro-Wrestling, and with Styles set to enter the WWE Hall of Fame, it should come as no surprise to learn that the Good Brothers have thoughts on who should induct him.

“Personally, I fully believe it should be us,” Gallows said during an episode of their “Talk’N Shop” podcast. From a professional standpoint, however, Gallows believes that The Undertaker is a logical choice. It was Styles who served as the final opponent of “The Deadman” in 2020, with Gallows pointing out that he and Anderson were involved in that cinematic match. Due to that close connection, Gallows understands why the company will almost certainly go in another direction than he and Anderson.

Anderson then spoke about their one-off return to WWE for Styles’ final television appearance, thanking the promotion for letting it happen so soon after their departure. “It was good to see Triple H, it was good to hug AJ Styles,” he said. Anderson also joked that they’ll play hardball if WWE did decide to call them for the induction. He shared his belief that Christopher Daniels, Frankie Kazarian, and Samoa Joe would also be strong choices to give Styles’ induction speech.

Alongside Styles, other confirmed Hall of Fame inductees for the 2026 class include Stephanie McMahon and Demolition’s Ax and Smash. The ceremony will take place on April 17, after the conclusion of “WWE SmackDown.”

Tony Khan Comments On Paramount & WBD Relationships As New MyAEW Platform Launches

Milestone after milestone, AEW has hit the ground running since its initiation in 2019. Heading into its seventh year, new changes are on the horizon, including the launch of MyAEW from earlier this week, and its broadcasting partner in Warner Bros. Discovery being acquired by Paramount after winning the bidding war with another titan streaming company in the mix, Netflix. While some in this industry see this merger through very critical and concerning lenses, Tony Khan remains optimistic with a glass half-full viewpoint, within the realm of possibility that his weekly programming could be featured on the same channel as UFC, should that come to fruition.

“I’m very excited about the future at Warner Bros…I think it’s a really exciting time for AEW,” the President and CEO said in his media call ahead of tonight’s Revolution pay-per-view event. “We’ve built a great relationship here. There’s been a lot of changes since AEW arrived…I would love to be on the same channel as UFC. I have a great relationship with Dana White and Hunter Campbell. While their sister promotion [WWE] is also in pro wrestling, and it’s of a competitive nature there, I think that on my behalf, I’d love to be on the same channel as UFC. I see a lot of positive utility to that.”

As the CEO of Paramount Skydance, David Ellison, put it, he would like for UFC to be showcased weekly – particularly on Saturday nights – once this merger is complete. That said, the concern lies in whether “AEW Collision” will remain one of the company’s weekly flagship programs or not. While that’s another bridge for Khan, Warner Bros. Discovery, and Paramount to cross in the near future, consideration for how MyAEW fares in this new acquisition was also asked in this week’s media scrum. Khan remained positive in his reply.

“I think the world of David Ellison, and I feel I have a very good relationship with him as well… With MyAEW…this has really nothing to do with the incredible relationship with AEW and Warner Bros. Discovery,” he responded. “MyAEW is really about international, trying to reach as many fans overseas as possible.”

Booker T Comments On WWE NXT Stand & Deliver Leaving WrestleMania Weekend

Unlike past years, “WWE NXT” Stand & Deliver will not be a part of WrestleMania festivities, but rather a stand-alone show on April 4, two weeks before “The Shows of Shows.” Now heading into the “NXT” premium live event, commentator Booker T admittedly isn’t sure whether that distance will help or hurt it. He is certain, however, that its feel will be new to fans and the “NXT” roster.

“I don’t know, man,” Booker said on the “Hall of Fame” podcast when asked if Stand & Deliver’s move away from WrestleMania would be good for the PLE. “I don’t mind being an add-on because we know we ain’t going to have a problem selling tickets. We’re going to be around everything that’s going on. Actually, having the young guys still have a piece of that feeling of WrestleMania, I thought was very, very, very important. I really did. So yeah, it’s going to be different.”

“NXT” Stand & Deliver will emanate from The Factory at The District in St. Louis, with appearances from NXT Champion Joe Hendry, NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne, and NXT North American Champion Myles Borne advertised. Per reports, the decision to relocate this year’s big “NXT” premium live event stems from multiple reasons, including relief to WWE’s production team, who were previously tasked with producing three shows (“WWE SmackDown,” WWE Hall of Fame, and “NXT”) in 24 hours ahead of WrestleMania night one. The move would additionally provide Stand & Deliver with a bigger spotlight and potential for greater success.

WrestleMania 42 week will take WWE back to Las Vegas, where a number of high-profile matches are already confirmed. The two-night WrestleMania event itself will be held on April 18 and 19.
