Je’Von Evans Advances to King of the Ring 2026 Semifinals

Je’Von Evans has officially secured his place in the semifinals of the 2026 King of the Ring tournament following a surprise win on the June 8 episode of RAW.

Evans became the third confirmed semifinalist, joining Oba Femi and Dominik Mysterio in the final four. One semifinal match is already set, with Femi scheduled to face Mysterio. Evans will meet the winner of an upcoming fatal four-way match featuring Jey Uso, LA Knight, Royce Keys, and Finn Balor.

Evans earned his spot by winning a high-stakes fatal four-way match against Ricky Saints, Seth Rollins, and Talla Tonga. The finish of the bout involved multiple interferences that shifted momentum late in the contest.

The Vision faction played a key role in the outcome, interfering to cost Rollins the match. Rollins had appeared close to overcoming outside involvement, including assistance from Montez Ford and interference from Austin Theory. However, the situation escalated when Bron Breakker delivered a spear to Rollins, leaving him unable to recover.

Evans, who was not involved in the interference, capitalized on the moment. He hit an OG Cutter on Saints and secured the pinfall while Rollins remained down, unable to break it up.

The tournament continues this Friday on SmackDown, where Uso, Knight, Keys, and Balor will compete to determine Evans’ semifinal opponent. The next round officially begins on RAW next Monday with Femi vs. Mysterio.

The King of the Ring finals are scheduled to take place at Night of Champions on June 27 in Saudi Arabia. The winner of the tournament will earn a World Championship match at SummerSlam.

On the women’s side, the Queen of the Ring tournament is also progressing. IYO SKY, Raquel Rodriguez, and Liv Morgan have already advanced to the semifinals. The final spot will be decided in a match featuring Jade Cargill, Charlotte Flair, Lyra Valkyria, and Sol Ruca.

Backstage Report On Extended Absence Of AEW Star Keith Lee

It’s been a year of addition for AEW, with the promotion already signing a handful of stars, and reportedly poised to sign more as the summer moves forward. But another addition may be planned for AEW, one that doesn’t involve a signing, but would instead see a long absent wrestler return to the fold. Fightful Select reports that, several months ago, discussions began within the promotion regarding the return of Keith Lee.

How far along those discussions are a mystery, however, including whether those discussions ever made it to Lee himself. It was noted, however, that whatever those plans are would likely be changed at this point, or even scrapped, as a source close to the situation said Lee’s return would’ve happened as planned if AEW had followed through. It remains unclear whether Lee has actually been cleared to return to the ring, and he has not been a regular presence backstage at AEW events; if he needed to be cleared, it’s believed Lee would’ve been around to be checked by doctors, which was described as a multi-week process.

Lee, best known as a former NXT Champion and a former AEW World Tag Team Champion with Swerve Strickland, hasn’t been seen on AEW programming since late 2023. At the time, Lee was set to face Strickland in a one-on-one match at AEW Worlds End, only to be pulled from the show with an injury the day of, with Dustin Rhodes replacing him. Since then, Lee has only commented sparingly on his absence, though he did confirm he would return to the ring at some point in a post on X last fall.

Matt & Nick Jackson Of The Young Bucks Offer Update On AEW Star Adam Cole

Adam Cole has been a beloved person in wrestling from the indies to ROH to NXT to AEW. He joined AEW in a surprise debut at ALL IN 2021. Since then, he has battled multiple health issues that have kept him out of the ring for extended periods of time. In 2022, he suffered back-to-back concussions. He was ROH Tag Team Champion with MJF before suffering an ankle injury in 2023. That injury required multiple surgeries. Last year, he had to relinquish the TNT Championship at ALL IN Texas in a tearful segment due to a concussion. Following the most recent concussion, he considered retirement.

Cole had been part of AEW’s All Elite Arcade podcast with Evil Uno, but the AEW Games channel appears to be on hiatus. Cole’s good friends, the Young Bucks, were asked about him during a live episode of “Being the Elite”. Nick said they had just spoken to him recently. “It’s step by step for him. He’s just trying to take it day by day, but he’s having improvements, which is good.” Matt asked for fans to keep Cole in their thoughts and prayers. “He’s the best person I’ve ever met in the wrestling business without exaggeration.”

Young Bucks Hint At New Day’s AEW Arrival During Fan Q&A

Ever since The New Day mutually agreed to be released by WWE over not wanting to take a pay cut, two questions have been on the lips of both fans and even some wrestlers. Are Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods going to AEW? And if so, when?

Multiple AEW stars have been asked about the potential of seeing The New Day in All Elite Wrestling in the future, but two men who would have more than a good enough reason to want them in AEW are The Young Bucks, and in typical Young Bucks fashion, Matt and Nick Jackson made sure to drop some subtle (and some not-so-subtle) hints about The New Day during a recent livestream on the “Being The Elite” YouTube channel.

Matt Jackson kicked things off by responding to a fan who commented New Day’s signature entrance sting ‘It’s a New Day, yes it is,’ a statement Matt took quite literally. “Every day is a new day, that’s a great point. Every time you wake up, and then the next day happens, it’s a new day when that happens, when the sun comes up. Great comment.”

Later, Nick was asked to name his Mount Rushmore of tag teams, but once he named his four duos, he realized he’d left some important names out of the discussion. “Briscoes, Hardys, FTR, Young Bucks would probably be my four…Oh man Motor City Machine Guns how are they not on the Rushmore? Now you’ve got me–how is The New Day not on the list? And The Usos, The Dudleys are up there too…it’s hard to put four. Road Warriors you know?”

The Jacksons were then asked outright if they were afraid of The New Day coming to AEW, and Matt responded by once again reiterating that everyday is in fact a brand new day. “I’m never afraid. I wake up every day, have a fresh cup of coffee, I’m never afraid about a new day. When there’s a new day coming I’m excited.” Due to the fact that they were released, Kingston and Woods are currently in their respective 90-day non-compete clauses, meaning they should be free to appear anywhere they want, including AEW, by the start of August.

AEW Dynamite Now Sharing Streaming Service With WWE Programming

Now seven years in, the battles between AEW and WWE seem to be as heated as ever. That’s going to lead to a bit of awkwardness now, as both promotions are now frequenting a similar platform. On Monday, AEW content was uploaded onto the Fox owned streaming service Tubi. At the moment, the service only carries the first several years of “AEW Dynamite” starting with the debut episode in 2019 and going up to the last “Dynamite” of 2021; no episodes of “Collision” “Rampage,” “AEW Dark,” “AEW Dark: Elevation,” or AEW PPV’s have been uploaded at this time.

What may raise eyebrows the most regarding this story is that AEW and WWE programming can now be found on the same streaming service for the first time ever. Tubi currently features several WWE programs, including old episodes of “WWE NXT,” the A&E series’ “WWE Rivals” and “WWE Biographies,” and “WWE Evolve,” which airs on Tubi every Wednesday night opposite “Dynamite.” At the moment, it’s unclear whether this is a sign that Tubi will be replacing WWE with AEW content, or if both promotions will remain on Tubi going forward.

Tubi now becomes the latest service to offer AEW programming in a year that has since the promotion look to bolster their presence outside of Amazon Prime Video, which airs AEW PPVs, and HBO Max, which airs “Dynamite” and “Collision” live, AEW PPVs, and features the AEW video library. Just one month ago, AEW launched the streaming service MyAEW, allowing international fans to purchase AEW PPVs, while also providing a 24/7 FAST Channel of older AEW content.
