In early 2024, shortly after Impact Wrestling reverted to its original name, TNA Wrestling, Scott D’Amore was let go from his role as the company’s President, marking a major shift for the promotion. Speaking on “Talk Is Jericho,” TNA wrestler Frankie Kazarian recalled D’Amore’s departure.
“That was huge. That caused a pretty hefty, sizable uproar amongst the boys and girls,” Kazarian said. “A lot of us – we’re friends with Scott, in addition to him being our boss. … For me, personally Scott’s the guy – ‘Scott’s in charge, I’m coming back.’ Scott’s not there anymore and I’m like, ‘Ooh, this isn’t what I signed up for.’ A lot of people had that kind of fear, and a lot of people, I think, overreacted – like people threatening to quit and all that. Me and a couple of the other guys were like, ‘Let’s just see what’s going on.’ At the end of the day, it was just a shake-up.”
D’Amore was soon replaced by a man named Anthony Cicione, who was then later replaced by Carlos Silva; it is Silva who currently serves as TNA’s President. Kazarian gave his full support to Silva and the current regime, stating that they’ve doubled down on not trying to compete with WWE but acting as another alternative in the industry.
Regarding Silva, Kazarian stated that the executive has a background as an athlete and enjoys sports in general. “A really smart guy, an honest guy, and a guy that hasn’t been poisoned by professional wrestling yet,” Kazarian continued. “The guy doesn’t like to lose, so when he has a goal or he has a desire, he really sinks his teeth into it.”

In July 2024, AEW star Skye Blue suffered an ankle injury which required surgery and wound up keeping her out of the ring for nine months. Recalling the injury during an interview with TMZ, Blue admitted that, immediately after the procedure, she experienced some doubt as to whether she’d be able to wrestle again.
“Those few days after surgery, where you can’t move, I was just laying flat on a couch trying not to move my leg,” Blue said. “I was like, ‘This is insane. How am I going to go back to flipping and running and twisting and turning and all the crazy things we have to put our bodies through?’ So it definitely flickered across my brain.”
At the same time, Blue felt worried that even if she did mount a return to the ring, she’d be forced to greatly alter her wrestling style and the fans might not accept it. Spending so much more time at home compared to when she was working, Blue said her mind was constantly racing, and it added to the anxiety.
As the weeks and months wore on, though, her physical condition began to improve, which in turn helped her mental state. As Blue began walking again, she started to regain her confidence, but she maintains that getting back into the ring for the first time after suffering the injury was a terrifying experience.
Following her return in May of last year, Blue and her Sisters of Sin partner Julia Hart latched on to more recent AEW addition Thekla. Together, the three women are known as the Triangle of Madness, and the arrangement can be at least partially credited for Thekla winning the AEW Women’s World Championship in 2026.

The lore of Wrestlers’ Court has been told by many WWE stars over the years, and the central figure of the tradition, The Undertaker, has discussed what it was truly meant for.
The Wrestlers’ Court was instituted in WWE as a way for wrestlers to police themselves backstage, but some have alleged that it was a form of bullying. The Undertaker dismissed those suggestions on a recent edition of his “Six Feet Under” podcast, which featured R-Truth.
“It was a way of sending a message without having to be ultra heavy and like, ‘Dude, you’re screwing up here.’ So, you have an option, and that’s a test as well. Like, how do you receive this? Back then, we were on the road, worked all the time. People get a little short, and they get a little high-strung sometimes, so you needed a little bit of levity sometimes in keeping everybody on the right plane,” said The Undertaker. “It wouldn’t be like, ‘You gotta do this, you gotta do that,’ but there is a decorum to what we do. Time is important, and respecting these guys in the locker room. So many guys have talked about Wrestlers’ Court and go, ‘Oh man, it was a bullying thing.’ No, it’s a way to let you know you’re screwing up a little bit, and we’re just gonna bring it to you in this manner.”
Fellow WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry also clarified that Wrestlers’ Court was a way for wrestlers to entertain each other and was not, in any way, intended to bully others. The Undertaker, though, acknowledged that while the intention was to lighten the mood, things could occasionally become tense.
“Now, some of the Wrestlers’ Courts, sometimes there were personal beefs involved, could get a little tense. But the overall objective to Wrestlers’ Court was to handle an issue and not make it an issue,” he added.
Wrestlers’ Court is a thing of the past now, and it seems that the locker room atmosphere is far more relaxed than it used to be, with greater camaraderie among the stars.
AAA Noches de Los Grandes Week 2 Results – June 6, 2026 – Welcome to WrestlingAttitude.com’s coverage of AAA Noches de Los Grandes Week 2, from the Arena Monterrey in Monterrey, Mexico.
Noche de los Grandes has already paid for itself many times over. Last week, we had what is arguably the match of the year between El Grande Americano and (the former) Original El Grande Americano. A match that was so good, they actually tacked it onto the end of RAW, just to show it off.
Tonight we get a pair of high-level multi-person matches. Plus we get to hear from AAA GM Rey Mysterio Jr, because it just wouldn’t be a WWE show without an extended talking segment and/or authority figure angle.
AAA Cruiserweight Title #1 Contender’s Match: Mini Vikingo vs. Octagón Jr. vs. Joaquin Wilde vs. Cruz Del Toro vs. Lince Dorado
And this is a pretty good way to do it! Laredo Kid lost the Cruiserweight title last week to Rey Fenix, so now we need to know who’s got next!
After a brief scrum off the bell LWO members Wilde and Del Toro double teamed Vikingo, tossing the smallest man in the ring around with suplexes and finally sending him to the outside. When that happened, Wilde tried to roll up Del Toro and steal one, but only got a two count.
Del Toro got a quick pin attempt off of a high flying move, but neither man was able to get one over on the other. Dorado and Octagon came back in and both tried a pin, but neither could get it. Octagon went up top and hit a diving armdrag before Dorado countered a monkey flip.
Dorado dispatched Octagon to the outisde, but that just opened things up for Vikingo to come back in. Dorado got him on his shoulders, but Vikingo countered it into a headscissor takedown. Vikingo used his gymnast-like skills to take down Octagon as well, but Wilde grabbed his ankle from the outside and pulled him to a stop.
Del Toro hit a tornado off the top turnbuckle to take Dorado, Octagon and Wilde down, leaving him one on one with Vikingo. He went for a pop up powerbomb, but Vikingo countered it into a takedown. Dorado hit a double stunner on Wilde and Del Toro, but Wilde hit a DDT on him.
Dorado came back with a brainbuster and then a shooting star press on Wilde. Everyone else was on the outside so he hooked the leg and 1-2-3, Dorado became the #1 Contender to Rey Fenix’s Cruiserweight title.
Match Result: Lince Dorado defeated Mini Vikingo, Octagón Jr, Joaquin Wilde and Cruz Del Toro.
-Backstage footage was show of the War Raiders and El Hijo de Vikingo celebrating their title victories from last week. Spoiler: They were stoked.
Rey Mysterio then took questions from “the media” (aka two guys holding cell phones next to his face) about everything happening in AAA. He said:
Mask Vs Mask Was awesome.
WWE is doing a Latin America tour throughout September.
He will be fair when it comes to Dominick Mysterio.
Speaking of the AAA Mega Champion, Dominick will appear on the June 20th episode of AAA.
Whomever is Mega Champion at the time will defend the title at Triplemania Night two in September.
-Backstage footage from last week was shown of El Grande Americano with Los Americanos thanking his friends and fans for supporting him.
