WWE’s Becky Lynch Considered MMA Career During Ronda Rousey Feud, Rousey Responds

Becky Lynch was never just a dreamer; she’s always been a doer. And at one point, her aspirations inspired her to expand her fighting knowledge from pro wrestling to MMA. Inspired during her heated rivalry with Ronda Rousey, Lynch described the itch to try something new, although the desire wore off shortly thereafter.

“There was one time when she beat me up and I remember thinking, not because I could fight back, but I was like, ‘Ah, I can take a beating. Maybe, I could go into MMA. I think I can take it.’ But then, that lasted one week,” the former five-time women’s world champion said on Stephanie McMahon’s “What’s Your Story?” podcast.

Even though “The Man” never got rowdy enough to take the leap, Rousey had quite the chuckle and the reply to Lynch’s former idea. On Instagram, the UFC Hall of Famer and former multi-time women’s champion commented on Lynch’s statement, stating, “Lmao what she doesn’t realize is that I was very very nice to her [intense laughter emoji].”

When Rousey first took center stage as a full-time wrestler in the WWE in October of 2018, Lynch was transcending her hero’s journey as “The Man.” Both women had multiple encounters, which culminated in WWE’s first-ever women’s main event at WrestleMania 35, where Lynch rose victorious as the new Raw and SmackDown Women’s Champion against Rousey and Charlotte Flair. What’s interesting to note is that Lynch and Rousey never wrestled one-on-one. However, when they did encounter one another, Lynch recalled that the former UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion was “stiff” in their matches.

WWE’s Big E Announces Speaking Event Related To Mental Health

Along with being part of one of the most decorated tag teams in professional wrestling history and a former WWE Champion, Big E has always been an advocate for mental health, and this upcoming summer, he will be presenting his very first TEDx Talk.

“Excited to announce that I’ll be delivering a @tedx_official talk in Davenport, IA, on August 12 at @thelastpichouse! How I Got Over Sharing my struggles with major depressive disorder and psychosis, and my eventual healing through medication, hospitalization, ECTs, talk therapy, and mindfulness/meditation.”

Big E has been open about his mental health journey in the past, having noted in The Player’s Tribune that he often dealt with depression, suicidal thoughts and hallucinations when he was a teenager. Struggles as a pre-med student and tearing both his ACLs left Big E feeling ashamed at school, but after signing up for therapy at the age of 19, he recognized that he wasn’t suffering alone and found the assistance he needed after being diagnosed with major depression and psychotic features. Big E also believes that meditation is useful for those who have dealt with similar mental health struggles and claims that it changed his life forever.

Although Big E is unable to resume his career as a professional wrestler due to the neck injury he suffered in 2022, the 40-year-old is still involved in the sport as a WWE panel analyst in addition to championing for mental health.

Braun Strowman Opens Door to WWE Return With One Major Condition

Braun Strowman Opens Door to WWE Return With One Major Condition

Braun Strowman has addressed the possibility of returning to WWE, making it clear that while a comeback is not off the table, it would depend entirely on the right financial offer.

Speaking on the Battleground Podcast, the former Universal Champion discussed his current life outside of wrestling, including his growing presence in television, and whether he would consider stepping back into the ring. While he didn’t dismiss the idea, he stressed that it would take a significant incentive to make it happen.

Braun Strowman WWE return conditions

When asked directly about a potential return, Strowman was straightforward about what it would take.

“Money’s right. I’m down to do about anything. I’ll try anything twice to make sure I don’t like it,” he said.

He also mentioned Oba Femi as a possible opponent, making it clear that a high-profile match could be part of the appeal if the deal made sense.

“You want to back that Brinks truck up? Dump some gold bullion on my Porsche. I’ll come whip that young kid’s ass real quick.”

Despite the comment, Strowman had positive words for Femi, acknowledging his rise and potential in WWE. He described him as an impressive athlete and someone with a strong future ahead.

Strowman also pointed out the financial upside of a possible return, suggesting that a match like that could be a major draw if handled correctly.

“Like I said, if WWE pull their head out of their you know what and have some common sense, we can make a lot of money.”

At the same time, Strowman emphasized that he is satisfied with his current situation outside wrestling. He highlighted his role hosting Everything on the Menu and noted that his current path has been rewarding both personally and financially.

“So, like I said, to pull me away from the table, it’s going to take a hell of a number. I’m loving it.”

Strowman last competed in WWE in April 2025, before being released in May. While he admitted he still misses parts of the industry, including performing and being around the locker room, he also made it clear that he does not miss the backstage politics that came with it.
