Kane Praises The Undertaker’s Success Running AAA Creative

Kane Praises The Undertaker’s Success Running AAA Creative

Kane has praised the work of his longtime storyline brother, saying he is impressed by the impact The Undertaker has already made behind the scenes in AAA following WWE’s takeover of the promotion.

Since stepping into a creative role with AAA, The Undertaker has been credited with helping guide the company’s direction during its new WWE-backed era. The promotion generated major buzz last weekend when Ludwig Kaiser, competing as El Grande Americano, defeated Chad Gable’s Original El Grande Americano in a highly praised mask vs. mask showdown at Noche de Los Grandes.

Speaking on Mostly Sports with Mark Titus and Brandon Walker, Kane could not hide his admiration for what Undertaker has accomplished.

“Man, it’s amazing. I’m so proud of him. He’s running AAA, which WWE bought, a Mexican promotion, and it’s super hot. I think it just shows how talented he is,” Kane said.

“He is the only person that could have made The Undertaker believable. Anybody else, they could have never pulled that. Well, his ability in wrestling transcends that even. Now he’s booking and running a company. As you said, hottest match of the year. The promotion is super hot. And I’m just really proud of what he’s doing.”

While The Undertaker has remained involved in the wrestling industry since retiring from active competition, Kane, whose real name is Glenn Jacobs, transitioned into politics and is currently serving his final term as Mayor of Knox County, Tennessee.

The momentum surrounding AAA continues to grow after the success of Noche de Los Grandes. Kaiser emerged victorious in the headline mask match and will continue using the El Grande Americano character moving forward. Attention now turns to AAA’s biggest annual event, Triplemania, which is scheduled for September 11 in Las Vegas and September 13 in Mexico City.

Following the event, The Undertaker also shared his appreciation for fans who helped make the show a success.

“The atmosphere was electric. The world was watching. History was made,” Undertaker wrote. “To all those in attendance in Monterrey and for everyone who watched #AAANocheDeLosGrandes wherever you did…thank you for making it a truly epic night for @luchalibreaaa!”

MJF Says Upcoming Independent Match Could Be His Last For A Long Time

MJF Says Upcoming Independent Match Could Be His Last For A Long Time

MJF is preparing for what could be his final appearance on the American independent wrestling scene for the foreseeable future.

The reigning AEW World Champion is scheduled to face Bobby Orlando at Beyond Wrestling’s Break the Walls Down event on June 5 in Cranston, Rhode Island. Ahead of the match, MJF spoke with Justin Barrasso of The Undisputed and revealed that he expects this independent booking to be his last in the United States for a very long time as he shifts his full attention back to AEW.

Reflecting on his recent loss of the AEW World Championship to Darby Allin in April, MJF pointed to that setback as a wake-up call.

“I’m going to announce that this is probably the last American independent match I’m going to have for an extraordinarily long time,” said Friedman. “I need to focus on AEW. I took my eyes off the ball for a millisecond, and a dude who is like 145-fucking-pounds soaking wet beat me. That can’t happen. I don’t care that he hit me in the nuts and spammed his finisher on me four times, and Aubrey Edwards, who is a complete liar, made a fast count. But glass half full, I’m now a three-time champion at the age of 30.”

Friday’s appearance will mark MJF’s first match for Beyond Wrestling since 2019. The company played a significant role in his rise through the independent ranks after he first competed there in 2016.

“Beyond was one of the first independent circuits that really took a chance on me,” said Friedman. “That’s where I could talk on the microphone before my matches, and it’s where I wrestled big matches with top names at the time on the independent circuit.

“Now I want to come in and see what Bobby Orlando is all about. I’m excited to test this kid, I’m excited to get more eyeballs on him and on Beyond, and that’s naturally what is going to happen because I am the biggest fucking draw in this business. I’m looking forward to it, and hopefully he gets a contract out of it.”

MJF has made a handful of independent appearances this year despite his AEW commitments. Most recently, he defeated Pat Buck at a WrestlePro event on May 31. Prior to that, he faced Max Caster at a Create-A-Pro Wrestling show in May and defended the AEW World Championship against Alec Price for Limitless Wrestling in January.

Before stepping into the ring with Orlando, MJF is set to defend the AEW World Championship against Rush on the June 3 edition of AEW Dynamite.

Mick Foley On Possibility Of One More Match In AEW: ‘Stranger Things Have Happened’

Mick Foley has opened the door to a return to the ring, following his AEW debut at Double or Nothing.

Foley recently spoke on “The Ariel Helwani Show” about wrestling once again, stating that his recent weight loss has helped him become more fit. The new AEW star believes he can wrestle safely as long as he avoids injuries to his head.

“Well, it’s definitely crossed my mind. You know, the cinematic matches have opened up the door for guys whose cardio may be suspect. But I’ll tell you what, this loss of 100 pounds made my life so much easier. Like, I used to have to stop a couple of times just walking up a moderate hill,” he began. “I think that clearly if I had a match, it would have to be a match that would avoid trauma to the head. Luckily, there’s a whole lot of me to traumatize below the neck. So, yeah, I think I have one more match in me.”

He, though, caveated that statement by saying that everything has to fall in place perfectly for him to return to the ring. Foley, however, doesn’t want to do some of the high-risk moves that he was famous for, ruling out potentially dropping elbows from high spots. The WWE Hall of Famer admitted that he often thinks of various spots and moves that he could perform and still retain his health.

“I find my mind wandering sometimes, coming up with ideas that look better than they hurt, that rate higher on the instantaneous Foley risk-reward ratio analysis. And if I can come up with enough of those types of moves that allow me to risk a little bit less while still giving fans a good match, and if I feel like I’m up to it, then maybe a couple years down the road, we will look into that. Stranger things have happened.”

Foley, who has had a few health issues over the years, last wrestled way back in 2012, when he appeared in the men’s Royal Rumble match.
