Tony Khan Calls MyAEW ‘Key Part’ Of International Strategy

All Elite Wrestling’s launched its brand new streaming service, MyAEW, in March 2026 as a way for international fans to get their AEW fix, but other promotions have gotten in on the fun as of late too. QT Marshall’s 1FW was added to the site shortly before AEW Double or Nothing 2026, leading some fans to wonder if there will be any other promotions making deals with AEW to get their shows on the platform. AEW President Tony Khan was asked about the platform at the Double or Nothing post-show media scrum, which led to Khan stating how important MyAEW is for the international growth of the company.

“MyAEW is primarily focused on international [distribution], but that we do have the domestic service, and it has a lot of great content and we plan to feature wrestling from multiple promotions. We’ve just added QT’s great promotion, we have 1Fall Wrestling now, but we’re looking to add other promotions to MyAEW and make it a hub for pro wrestling all over the world. Of course, for a lot of fans it’s already become a great destination. It’s been a key part of our international strategy, but also here in the US, there’s great promotions that we can make available on MyAEW and still, we have all of our focus here pushed towards HBO MAX and Warner Brothers Discovery.”

MyAEW has taken the place of the AEW Plus feature on TrillerTV, which ceased operations in April 2026 following the financial trouble TrillerTV has faced in recent years. AEW has since filed a lawsuit against TrillerTV over late payments amounting to the sum of $5 Million, though there has been no further updates on if and when that case will be settled.

Former WWE Stars Nikki Cross & Big Damo Acquire UK Indie Progress Wrestling

Only a month after departing from WWE, Nikki Cross is making a big move alongside her husband Big Damo, aka former WWE star Killian Dain. On Tuesday morning, the couple shocked the wrestling world, announcing they had purchased both UK indie promotion Progress Wrestling and United States indie promotion DEFY Wrestling. The first Progress show held under Damo and Cross’ ownership will take place on June 7 at the 02 Ritz Academy in Manchester, England.

“It is not lost on me that there are few female owners in professional wrestling, so I want to bring my experience and insights to the table and elevate Progress and DEFY to new levels,” Cross said in a statement. “We were deeply encouraged by the first Progress Women’s Super Strong Style 16 tournament. Rhio and Gisele competed in an incredible main event, and Rhio proved to be a worthy winner! We will soon be announcing that next year, in 2027, we will host the first stand alone female Super Strong Style 16. We are also in the process of bringing Progress to new cities across the UK, and will be excited to announce those details soon”

Launched in 2012, Progress became one of the most well recognized independent promotions in England during the UK wrestling boom of the mid-2010s, and later developed a working relationship with WWE. By 2020, however, a combination of the COVID-19 pandemic and the Speaking Out movement led to Progress going on hiatus, returning only in 2021. The promotion’s relationship with WWE soon ended, and Progress was later purchased by Lee McAteer and Martyn Best, who would run Progress until selling it to Cross and Damo.

As for DEFY, the Pacific Northwest promotion launched in 2017 under Matt Farmer, and had run shows consistently through 2025. In 2024, DEFY and Progress announced that the two promotions would be merging. No follow up report regarding the merger ever emerged, though Cross and Damo’s purchase of both promotions suggest that the merger was ultimately completed.

WWE Raw 5/25/2026: 3 Things We Hated & 3 Things We Loved

Seth Rollins has been beefing with Montez Ford for a few weeks now, and even though the Visionary did as he said and did not interfere with the Street Profits’ WWE Tag Team Championship match against the Vision at Saturday Night’s Main Event, the pair still had issues with one another tonight. So, they settled their differences in the ring, as the professional wrestling gods intended.

That may sound like a silly, simple thing to love, but on WWE programming, where things get drawn out forever at times, I enjoyed this a lot. Creative could have easily dragged this out another week or two, but thankfully, that wasn’t the case. They had a really fun, athletic match. Michael Cole said this was the first time in a “few years” that the pair had met one-on-one in the ring, and I can’t remember the last time I saw it, so it felt nice and fresh, something all WWE programming desperately needs.

I really liked and had to chuckle at Rollins yelling at Ford in the middle of the match that he’s “trying to change,” then after Ford slapped him, Rollins nailed him with back-to-back buckle bombs. While I would have liked for Ford to get the victory here, him winning probably would have messed up the storyline a bit, with Ford getting some kind of validation that they didn’t need Rollins’ help. Though the post-match angle could have remedied that pretty quickly.

Angleo Dawkins wasn’t at ringside to help out Ford, because he’s the one who understands that they need Rollins’ help in the fight against the Vision, so you knew something was going to happen with him later on, or after the match. And happen it did, in the form of an unhinged Austin Theory, who lost his tag partner, Logan Paul, due to injury. He obviously blames the Street Profits for taking Paul out at SNME, so he came out and battered Dawkins with a chair.

This led, unexpectedly, to me, at least, to Ford and Rollins finally coming to an understanding. They basically agreed, or seemed to, at least, to work together to help out Dawkins. I really liked that it took them beating the hell out of one another, in addition to seeing Dawkins brutalized, of course, to come to their senses. Though, technically, they’re no longer outnumbered by the Vision, it’s still an interesting thing that makes sense for Rollins, since Breakker is involved.

AEW Reveals Details Behind Brand New PPV, AEW Redemption, Debuting July 2026

Fresh off the heels of AEW Double or Nothing 2026 in New York City, All Elite Wrestling has officially announced a new addition to its pay-per-view line-up coming this summer, AEW Redemption.

It was reported at the beginning of May that a new major AEW pay-per-view will be coming, with the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada being the rumored landing spot for the event. That has now been confirmed as Canadian venue will host the inaugural Redemption pay-per-view on Sunday, July 26.

AEW President and CEO Tony Khan spoke exclusively with the Toronto Sun about the announcement, stating that he has wanted to bring an AEW pay-per-view to Montreal for some time. “Montreal’s one of the greatest wrestling cities in the world. There’s such a rich history of professional wrestling. This will be a special event. It’s the first-ever AEW Redemption and it’s also the first-ever AEW pay-per-view in Montreal…The crowds have been so fantastic when we’ve done AEW in Montreal. I’ve wanted to bring a pay-per-view to Montreal for years.”

The company made its debut in Montreal back in December 2023 with episodes of “AEW Dynamite,” “AEW Collision” and “AEW Rampage,” but have not been back since. However, AEW has hosted a number of pay-per-views in Canada over the years, with AEW/NJPW Forbidden Door 2023 and AEW All Out 2025 taking place in Toronto, Ontario, while AEW Dynasty 2026, which took place earlier this year was held in Vancouver, British Columbia.

As Khan mentioned, Montreal has a rich wrestling history dating back decades. WWE has hosted multiple pay-per-views, TV tapings, and Premium Live Events at the Bell Centre — the most famous being WWE Survivor Series 1997, which played host to the now infamous Montreal Screwjob during the main event match between Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels.

WWE’s GUNTHER Doesn’t Know If Brock Lesnar Match Will Happen

Gunther has discussed the possibility of him facing Brock Lesnar in WWE.

A dream match that WWE fans have eagerly awaited is a clash between Gunther and Brock Lesnar, and many believed it might never happen after Lesnar seemingly retired at WrestleMania 42. However, with Lesnar returning to continue his feud with Oba Femi, the possibility of the match is back on the table, although Gunther remained coy about it during an interview with “Italian Wrestling Channel.”

“I don’t know,” replied Gunther when he was asked if a match with Lesnar is in the offing. “So, I wasn’t even there the day on ‘Mania [Lesnar’s match with Oba Femi] because it was the day after me when all of that happened with Brock. So, I only saw it like a headline, but that’s literally all the info I had, and yeah, I was like, he’s back now. But I haven’t thought about it. I’m really focused on what I do with Cody now. I will be challenging for the WWE Undisputed Championship in Italy, and that’s my full focus right now, and after I beat Cody, then Brock can challenge me, and we’ll do that.”

Lesnar and Gunther’s only interaction in WWE came at the 2023 men’s Royal Rumble match, where the latter put on a tremendous showing in the match, lasting for over an hour and eliminating five wrestlers.

Since reports emerged that Brock Lesnar was nearing retirement, many predicted that the Austrian could be his final opponent, as he has already retired two legends in John Cena and AJ Styles. With SummerSlam seemingly set to host Brock Lesnar’s final match due to the event taking place in his hometown of Minneapolis, and Gunther having the chance to win the world title from Cody Rhodes at Clash in Italy, Lesnar’s final match could very well be a world title bout against Gunther.
