WWE’s GUNTHER Doesn’t Know If Brock Lesnar Match Will Happen

Gunther has discussed the possibility of him facing Brock Lesnar in WWE.

A dream match that WWE fans have eagerly awaited is a clash between Gunther and Brock Lesnar, and many believed it might never happen after Lesnar seemingly retired at WrestleMania 42. However, with Lesnar returning to continue his feud with Oba Femi, the possibility of the match is back on the table, although Gunther remained coy about it during an interview with “Italian Wrestling Channel.”

“I don’t know,” replied Gunther when he was asked if a match with Lesnar is in the offing. “So, I wasn’t even there the day on ‘Mania [Lesnar’s match with Oba Femi] because it was the day after me when all of that happened with Brock. So, I only saw it like a headline, but that’s literally all the info I had, and yeah, I was like, he’s back now. But I haven’t thought about it. I’m really focused on what I do with Cody now. I will be challenging for the WWE Undisputed Championship in Italy, and that’s my full focus right now, and after I beat Cody, then Brock can challenge me, and we’ll do that.”

Lesnar and Gunther’s only interaction in WWE came at the 2023 men’s Royal Rumble match, where the latter put on a tremendous showing in the match, lasting for over an hour and eliminating five wrestlers.

Since reports emerged that Brock Lesnar was nearing retirement, many predicted that the Austrian could be his final opponent, as he has already retired two legends in John Cena and AJ Styles. With SummerSlam seemingly set to host Brock Lesnar’s final match due to the event taking place in his hometown of Minneapolis, and Gunther having the chance to win the world title from Cody Rhodes at Clash in Italy, Lesnar’s final match could very well be a world title bout against Gunther.

Roman Reigns Adds “Service” Stipulation to Jacob Fatu Ahead of Their Match at WWE Clash in Italy

Roman Reigns Adds “Service” Stipulation to Jacob Fatu Ahead of Their Match at WWE Clash in Italy

During the May 25 edition of WWE RAW, a new stipulation was added to the Tribal Combat match between Roman Reigns and Jacob Fatu for Clash in Italy.

The segment opened with Reigns and WWE official Adam Pearce discussing the contract signing for their upcoming showdown. While Reigns had already accepted the Tribal Combat match, he pushed for an additional condition: if Fatu loses at Clash in Italy, he would be required to “serve” Reigns.

Later in the main event segment, Fatu entered the arena and immediately began clearing the ring area of tables and chairs before coming face-to-face with Reigns. Security officials attempted to separate both men as tensions escalated, but Reigns dismissed them, insisting that once the contract was signed, Fatu would have no choice but to accept his fate.

Reigns reinforced the stipulation, stating that Fatu would eventually learn to “love the Tribal Chief.” Fatu ultimately agreed to the terms, acknowledging Reigns’ influence while making it clear he is prepared for the consequences. He added that if he cannot defeat Reigns, at least he would still have a job—but if he wins, everyone, including Reigns, will be forced to acknowledge him.

This new stipulation adds another layer to an already heated rivalry. At Backlash, Reigns defeated Fatu to retain the World Heavyweight Championship, but Fatu attacked him after the match and continued his assault in the following weeks. Despite Reigns and his allies briefly gaining the upper hand last week, Fatu responded by issuing the Tribal Combat challenge that set the stage for Clash in Italy.

LA Knight Announces Return Of King & Queen Of The Ring On WWE Raw

LA Knight cut his first promo in the ring on “WWE Raw” since before WWE WrestleMania 42 last month, and in it, he revealed that the King and Queen of the Ring tournaments will start next week.

The segment went on to include Jimmy Uso after Knight griped about having to once again battle the Bloodline, but before their confrontation, Knight said he was throwing his hat into the King of the Ring tournament. He said he was headed right for World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns, who he told Uso was the only person in the Bloodline he has a problem with, at the moment, at least.

WWE Night of Champions is set to take place from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on June 27, and the event has featured the final of the tournament in recent years. Knight’s promo was the first time the tournaments have been mentioned this year, however. After the promo, commentary failed to mention anything about the tournaments, and as of this writing, WWE has not revealed brackets or any further information.

Dragon Lee Returns On WWE Raw, Coming To The Aid Of Rey Mysterio Against Rusev

Dragon Lee returned during “WWE Raw” after being out of action since the Intercontinental Championship six-pack ladder match at WrestleMania 42.

Lee challenged Penta for the title alongside Rey Mysterio, JD McDonagh, Je’Von Evans, and Rusev, with Penta retaining and continuing his title reign. It had since been reported that he was banged up during the match, and had not been seen on TV until Monday.

During the show, Penta challenged Mysterio to an Intercontinental title match, drawing the ire of Saturday’s unsuccessful challenger, Ethan Page. Page managed to talk Rusev into targeting Mysterio under the belief he was skipping him in challenging for the title. And after Mysterio pinned Rusev, falling victim to a post-match beatdown, Lee returned to make the save.

Page then got involved but was soon expelled from the ring alongside Rusev. Mysterio embraced his LWO stablemate to close the segment.

Prior this stint on the sidelines, Lee was feuding with Rusev as part of the Intercontinental title picture. It would seem that his return on Monday is slotting him back in that role, albeit next to the man set to challenge for title next.

WWE Announces Return of King and Queen of the Ring

LA Knight made his first in-ring promo appearance on WWE RAW since before WrestleMania 42 and used the moment to reveal that the King and Queen of the Ring tournaments will begin next week.

During the segment, Knight confirmed that he plans to enter the King of the Ring tournament, making it clear that his goal is to earn a shot at Roman Reigns and the World Heavyweight Championship. Knight addressed ongoing issues with The Bloodline but clarified that Reigns is currently his primary focus.

The promo was interrupted by Jimmy Uso, continuing the tension between Knight and the Bloodline. Before their confrontation escalated, Knight reiterated his intentions to move through the tournament and position himself for a title opportunity.

WWE Night of Champions is scheduled for June 27 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and the event has hosted the tournament finals in recent years. However, Knight’s promo marked the first official mention of both tournaments in 2026. As of now, WWE has not released brackets or provided additional details, and commentary did not expand further on the announcement following the segment.

The King of the Ring tournament has a long history in WWE, dating back to 1985 before becoming a pay-per-view event in 1993. It has played a key role in elevating top stars, most notably Stone Cold Steve Austin, whose 1996 victory led to the iconic Austin 3:16 promo. Other notable winners include Bret Hart, Owen Hart, Triple H, Kurt Angle, Edge, Brock Lesnar, Booker T, Sheamus, and Gunther.

The Queen of the Ring tournament is a more recent addition, originally introduced in 2021 as the Queen’s Crown. Zelina Vega won the inaugural tournament, and it has since evolved into the Queen of the Ring format. Recent winners include Jade Cargill and Nia Jax.

With both tournaments now confirmed to return, attention shifts to how WWE will structure the brackets and which superstars will compete as the road to Night of Champions begins.
