WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event Results 5/23 – Three Championships On The Line & More

Montez Ford and Austin Theory begin the action. The bell rings and fans chant “fire Logan Paul”. Theory covers Paul’s ears and becomes distracted, allowing Ford to roll up Theory. Theory kicks out and levels Ford before the two men lock up and Theory runs over Ford with a shoulder tackle.

Paul tags in and takes a cheap shot at Ford as he locks up with him. He runs over Ford with a shoulder tackle, but Ford kips up and lands a pair of arm drags on Paul. Paul rolls out of the ring to retreat, but gets back inside where Ford levels him.

Angelo Dawkins tags in and lands a double flapjack on Paul with Ford. The Street Profits land a second double flapjack on Theory to send him crashing on top of Paul, and the pair dump The Vision out of the ring.

The Vision retreats up the entrance ramp, but The Street Profits follow them up it and blindside them from behind. Ford sends Theory crashing into one of the barricades on the outside as Dawkins dumps Paul back in the ring.

Dawkins rocks Paul with a boot and levels Theory on the ring apron with a strike. Dawkins turns around into a right hand from Paul, and Paul then sends Ford crashing off the ring apron. He rains down right hands on Dawkins before Theory tags back in and Paul uses Theory as a launching pad to deliver a splash to Dawkins in the corner.

Theory sends Dawkins crashing into the mat and pins him, but Dawkins kicks out and Theory rains down right hands on him. Paul tags back in and continues to wear down Dawkins, but Theory lags back in and fires off right hands on Dawkins as Paul holds Dawkins in place.

Theory sends Dawkins crashing into the corner and fires off shoulders on his midsection, then charges at him. Dawkins catches Theory with a boot, then sends an interfering Paul crashing out of the ring and looks to tag out to Ford. Paul pulls Ford off the apron before Dawkins can tag out to him.

Paul tags back in and fires off right hands on Dawkins’ midsection as Theory holds him in place. Theory tags back in, but Dawkins manages to tag in Ford and Ford takes out Theory and Paul.

Ford lands a standing moonsault on Theory and pins him, but Theory kicks out and gets Ford up on his shoulders. Ford escapes, but Paul tags in and lands a clothesline on Ford using the top rope. He goes for a pin, but Ford kicks out and Paul tags in Theory. Theory and Paul whip Ford into the corner, but Ford sends Paul crashing onto the apron and rolls up Theory. Theory kicks out, but Dawkins tags in and delivers an assisted back suplex with Ford. Ford flies through the middle rope to take out Paul on the outside and ascends to the top rope as Dawkins gets Theory in an electric chair position. Ford then tags in and delivers a Blockbuster-Japanese Ocean Cyclone Suplex to Theory with Dawkins. Ford then pins Theory, but Paul breaks the fall.

Bron Breakker runs out to the ring, but Dawkins lands a shoulder pounce on him to send him crashing over the announce desk. Dawkins lands a spinebuster on Theory, and Ford lands a Frog Splash on Theory off the top rope. He goes for a pin, but Heyman places Theory’s foot on the bottom rope to break the hold.

Paul slides on his signature brass knuckles as Ford stares down Heyman on the outside. Paul hits Ford with the brass knuckles as Ford flies off the ring steps. Dawkins flies out of the ring to take out Paul, and Theory pins Ford in the ring for the win.

Winners (and still): The Vision

After the match, The Vision retreats up the entrance ramp, but Bron Breakker runs back into the ring to deliver a spear to Dawkins and as second one to For. He raises Paul and Theory’s hand in the ring as the show goes off the air.

Adam Copeland Looks Back On Leaving WWE For AEW: It Was A ‘No-Brainer’

Hall of Famer Adam Copeland stunned the wrestling industry when he left WWE in 2023, and then left it stunned further by signing with AEW. While looking back during an interview with “ClutchPoints,” Copeland said the decision came easily to him.

“My three best friends in the industry work there, and they all say they’re having an absolute blast. Sign me up,” Copeland said. “It was a no-brainer.”

On top of this, the veteran claims he was intrigued by the AEW roster, and specifically felt that he’d achieved all he could in WWE, while in AEW, he’d have the chance to step in the ring with the likes of Kenny Omega and MJF.

“I’d kind of worked everyone there was to work in WWE that I wanted to. Obviously, there are still some [I didn’t work with], but I looked at AEW and the most glaring one I’d never wrestled [was] Samoa Joe. That’s crazy,” he pointed out. “Literally everyone on the roster besides [Chris] Jericho, Christian, Dustin [Rhodes], and Billy Gunn.”

Copeland’s AEW career is currently in jeopardy, as he and Christian Cage are set to face AEW World Tag Team Champions FTR in an I Quit Match, but even that is more exciting to the former World Heavyweight Champion than scary.

“If you had said 10 years ago, ‘We’re gonna get Christian and Copeland together as a team and they’re gonna face FTR in AEW in an ‘I Quit’ match with careers on the line for the tag team titles,’ you’d go, ‘Well, that sounds awesome, but that’s clearly not gonna happen ’cause two of those dudes are retired,'” Copeland explained. “Yet, here we are. It’s all gravy.”

WWE’s Kit Wilson Teases ‘Different’ Version Of Pretty Deadly If Elton Prince Returns

After previously hinting at a future musical involving Pretty Deadly, WWE star Kit Wilson has gone back on the record about the potential for future plans with his tag team partner, Elton Prince. Speaking to SHAK Wrestling, Wilson indicated that if the duo does get to tag together again, it won’t be the same Pretty Deadly that fans are used to seeing.

“I think it’ll be a bigger and better Pretty Deadly,” Wilson said. “I think it’ll be a different Pretty Deadly. I don’t think we fully know what that will be, and I think it will be a more mature Pretty Deadly.”

At the same time, Wilson made it clear that he isn’t certain if the tag team will ever get the chance to reunite. Prince suffered a serious injury in May 2025 and has yet to return to the ring. Prince revealed that he underwent neck fusion surgery at the beginning of this year after a lengthy process of figuring out exactly what was wrong and how to attempt to correct it. As it stands, Prince will have to work on a full recovery before even thinking about an in-ring return.

If Prince does make a return, there should be plenty of material for Pretty Deadly to build on, both in Wilson’s solo endeavors as well as through the team’s previously laid out backstory. According to Wilson in the interview, the duo spent a great deal of time discussing the history of the characters, and they were once even quizzed on it by John Cena at the WWE Performance Center.

Rather than disappearing off television following his partner’s injury, Wilson continued to be featured on “WWE SmackDown” throughout 2025 and into 2026. Though they aren’t quite as close as Pretty Deadly, Wilson has found another ally in The Miz, with the two of them teaming against Danhausen and his smaller clone at WWE Backlash 2026.

Posted By: James Walsh on May 23, 2026 Bill Anderson Benefit Show to Help the Legendary Wrestler with his Medical Bills Announced for Azusa, California

For years, Bill Anderson was a key part of pro wrestling in the Southwestern United States. After a successful career in the ring including being accused of taking the “marijuana  pills” by Tennessee promoter Nick Gulas, Anderson settled in on the Southwest partnering with legendary wrestler Red Bastien to train wrestlers. Some of the wrestlers who were trained by Anderson include Sting, Ultimate Warrior, Rod Price, Angel of Death, Louie Spicolli, and more. Anderson would also work LA area WWF events and scored a win over “Mr. Wonderful” Paul Orndorff amongst others.  He’d also often serve as the local area ring announcer. Anderson did tours of Japan with the hardcore FMW group in the early 1990’s and continued training talent in Southern California for years to come.

AEW Star Bandido Recalls ‘Amazing’ World Title Feud That Inspired New Confidence

One of the hottest wrestlers in recent memory in both AEW and ROH is current ROH World Champion, and former AEW World Tag Team Champion, Bandido. In addition to fighting for those titles, Bandido also faced MJF in his second reign with the AEW World Championship, in a match for the gold at “AEW Dynamite: Maximum Carnage” at the start of the year. Bandido spoke with Denise Salcedo about the match, and the praise the former champion gave him following the bout.

“I think we have amazing people working in AEW… Working with MJF was like amazing,” Bandido said. “He helped me. He guided me and he gave this opportunity to have lucha against him for the belt. It was like a dream for me… I never think that a person [like] MJF who is a very rude person, that he would say, ‘One day you will become AEW World Champion.’ You know? That makes me feel happy and believe that everything is possible in this world. I’m just focused, trying to do my best, and if at some point, some day, that championship comes to me, I will be ready for that.”

After the match ended in referee stoppage when Bandido passed out in the Salt of the Earth, MJF got on the microphone and uncharacteristically, in kayfabe, had nice words for his opponent. He said because of that, however, that’s why he had to do what he had to do, then proceeded to beat Bandido down and attempted to unmask him, bringing out Bandido’s tag team partner, Brody King, to make the save. While that may have been Bandido’s most recent AEW World Championship shot, he’s held the ROH World title for over 410 days.
