AEW’s Darby Allin Knows Extreme Style Will Catch Up With Him, Doesn’t Intend To Stop

AEW World Champion Darby Allin works an over-the-top, extreme style, and even before he captured the title from MJF, he wasn’t quick to slow down. Since becoming champion, Allin has fought in seven consecutive defenses across “AEW Dynamite” and “AEW Collision,” and on Sunday, he’s set to face MJF once again in a hair-vs-title match.

Before the match, he appeared on “Busted Open Radio” where he talked about his current style of wrestling. Allin said he is concerned that one day, the style will catch up with him.

“But, I won’t stop until that day happens,” he said. “I think the beauty of what I do is I made a very calculated decision early on in my career early on where I didn’t want to look too pretty or dance-y with my move set.”

He said that he figured a “dance-y” move set would have a shelf life, anyway, but just falling backward for a Coffin Drop is hard to mess up. Allin said that if the day ever comes where he can’t wrestle the way he does now, he’s done.

“If I can’t do it the way I want to do it, I’m out, and that’s okay,” he said. “It’s like the biggest thing I’ve taken away from Sting and being with Sting is you have to be at peace with yourself, life after wrestling. You have to. The thing is, talking with Sting about it, it’s like, I’m ready. If this all ended tomorrow, I’m ready. But until then, I’m going to ride it until the wheels fall off. I don’t want to be that guy who’s not doing the version of Darby that you currently see.”

WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event 5/23/2026 Predictions: Wrestling Inc. Picks The Winners

Since February, all of WWE’s main roster titles have changed hands at least once. With that in mind, the slight majority of us (60%) believe that WWE will stretch out the Intercontinental Championship reign of Penta, which began on March 2, at least a little bit longer.

After all, Penta just outmaneuvered five other men in a Ladder Match on WWE’s grandest stage, so why would merely one stop his momentum right now? We don’t need Steiner math to realize that a one-on-one bout compared to five-on-one yields exceptionally better odds for the defending champion. In theory, Penta should then be able to retain his title at SNME with much more ease than he did at WrestleMania 42. Moreover, Penta remains one of WWE’s most popular stars, so a lengthier run with the IC title would only elevate him and the title even more.

Looking ahead, we also recognize that WWE Clash In Italy, a much bigger event, is only one week away, meaning SNME could simply be a launching pad to an equally as big title match. “The Bulgarian Brute” Rusev has made it clear that his eyes, much like Ethan Page’s, are fixed on the Intercontinental Championship. So what is to stop him from interfering at SNME and coaxing Penta into a potential triple threat title match — with him, Penta, and Page — at Clash In Italy? Should Rusev involve himself in Saturday’s IC title match, there’s a good chance that Je’Von Evans does as well, though in his case to help even the odds for Penta. Naturally, “WWE Raw” General Manager Adam Pearce might then be inclined to make a fatal-four-way official for Clash In Italy, set for May 31.

Charlotte Flair Says She Learned About White House Fan Event Along With The Public

On Sunday, June 14, UFC Freedom 250 will take place from the South Lawn of The White House in Washington, D.C., and several WWE stars are expected to appear at the Fan Fest for the event, including Charlotte Flair, The Usos, Chelsea Green, The Miz, Trick Williams, Tiffany Stratton and Bron Breakker. However, not all of WWE’s talent knew that the signing would be taking place at The White House, as Flair recently explained during an interview with “TMZSports” that she had to alter her outfit plans for the event.

“I saw online and then I was like, well, I guess I won’t be wearing my queen outfit that I had … No, I had like my spray painted, bedazzled outfit that I was going to wear to the signing because it was just a signing and then it said White House signing. I’m like, ‘So, are we going to the White House?”‘ she explained. “No, but I really did not know what we were doing until I saw it on Twitter … I guess my thoughts changed a little of what I had planned for the weekend.”

The two-day fan fest begins on Saturday, June 13 and will conclude the follow Sunday, with attendees getting access to a special watch party for UFC Freedom 250. In addition to the WWE stars appearing for a meet-and-greet, 24 UFC fighters are also expected to be part of the fan fest. Although WWE usually hasn’t been involved with any mixed martial arts projects since being part of the merger with UFC under TKO Group Holdings, both companies seem to have a good relationship with U.S. President Donald Trump, as WWE CCO Triple H and UFC CEO Dana White make occasional visits to The White House.

JBL Defends Ludwig Kaiser Following Recent Arrest Controversy

Questions continue to surround Ludwig Kaiser’s recent arrest, and now WWE Hall of Famer JBL has weighed in with strong support for the former Imperium member while questioning both sides of the story.

During an episode of Something to Wrestle, JBL and Conrad Thompson discussed the misdemeanor battery charge involving Kaiser. The conversation turned toward an alternate version of events reportedly shared by former Wrestling Inc owner Raj Giri, which contradicted details included in the official police report.

According to Giri’s account, Kaiser allegedly confronted a neighbor after the man threatened to call ICE on Kaiser’s girlfriend, Andrea Bazarte, following an encounter in an elevator where the couple had reportedly been showing affection. The version relayed by Giri also claimed Kaiser never threw any punches during the incident.

While none of those claims have been verified, the alleged victim, Richard Reap, did file a police report detailing his version of events. JBL made it clear he is skeptical of both narratives and believes the reality likely falls somewhere between the two stories being shared publicly.

“Yeah, I think it’s bullst. I think both sides are bullst. Obviously, this story was made up to help him. And I don’t know how much was made-up, but if I’m getting arrested, that’s the story I make up, that exact story right there,” JBL said. “I don’t know if this came from Kaiser. I don’t know where this came from. But all of a sudden, this spins perfectly to make him the babyface. I mean, do you believe that story is 100% true?”

JBL went on to explain that he does not see the situation as particularly serious, while also stressing that there are major holes in each version of the story.

“I don’t think this is a big deal. I want to make it clear about this that I’m fine with what Kaiser did here; I have no problem with this. This is bullst. The whole thing’s bullst. I think that story is bullst on one side. The guy’s story on the other side is bullst. I don’t know what this guy had a problem with on the elevator. A young couple is making out on an elevator. Come on, man. Who is this dude? And all of a sudden, you say something about it,” JBL said.

The WWE legend added that although the full truth remains unclear, he understands why Kaiser may have reacted if offensive comments were made toward his girlfriend. JBL also criticized the neighbor for allegedly escalating the situation and contacting police afterward.

According to JBL, Kaiser has never struck him as someone looking for trouble, and he hopes the incident does not negatively impact his standing within WWE. Conrad Thompson added that if the reported ICE comment actually happened, it could make Kaiser even more popular with Mexican wrestling fans due to his current connection with AAA.

JBL joked that Kaiser, especially under his El Grande Americano persona, is already wildly popular in Mexico and said defending his girlfriend against a derogatory remark would only increase that support.

“This is something that couldn’t be better for Kaiser. Let this story get out there. I don’t know if the story is true or not. I don’t really believe either side of the story, the extremes. Because what do you do when you get in trouble? The guy who calls is going to fill his version of the story. He’s going to jade it his way. Then the defence is going to come, and they’re going to jade it your way. You know, the truth is somewhere in the middle,” JBL said.

JBL closed out the discussion by firmly backing Kaiser, even while admitting he does not know exactly what took place during the altercation.

“I’m on Kaiser’s side on this. The guy had no business saying anything to him. I get it. Kaiser’s not the guy who ends up punching somebody. I don’t know who this d*****bag was that called the cops, but screw this guy.

“I want to make it clear, I’m not passing judgment. I’ve been in enough, seen enough altercations to know that both sides end up going a little bit away from the truth. The truth is somewhere in the middle. I am 100% behind Kaiser on this. Unequivocally, I’m backing this guy. He thinks he’s a good guy. He’s not a hothead to me. If something happened here, the guy (the neighbor), I think, deserved it. So I don’t know what happened, but I am 100% backing Kaiser,” JBL said.
