NXT Viewership Rises on May 19 Episode

NXT saw an increase in viewership for its May 19, 2026 episode on the CW Network, according to Programming Insider.

The show brought in 517,000 viewers, which is up from the 498,000 viewers recorded on May 12. That previous episode marked the lowest audience total in the show’s history in its regular timeslot, making this week’s number a rebound.

In the key 18–49 demographic, NXT posted a 0.08 rating, also improving from last week’s 0.06. While the increase is notable week-to-week, the overall trend still shows some fluctuation compared to earlier in the month.

Recent 4-week trend:

  • May 19, 2026: 517,000 viewers — 0.08 demo
  • May 12, 2026: 498,000 viewers — 0.06 demo

Looking at the broader picture, NXT’s year-to-date average in 2026 stands at 602,778 viewers. This week’s total is down by 85,778 viewers, representing a 14.2% decrease compared to that average. In the 18–49 demographic, the yearly average remains at 0.08, matching this week’s number.

For the month of May 2026, NXT is averaging 552,000 viewers. The May 19 episode falls short of that mark by 35,000 viewers, a 6.3% decline. The monthly demo average is also 0.08, which aligns with the current episode, though it is slightly down overall by percentage.

While this week’s episode showed growth compared to the prior week, the data reflects that NXT is still tracking below both its monthly and yearly averages in viewership.

Tony Khan Provides Update on AEW TBS Title Situation

Tony Khan Provides Update on AEW TBS Title Situation

Tony Khan has provided an update on the AEW TBS Championship picture following a major change involving Willow Nightingale.

On Wednesday, Willow Nightingale revealed that she is dealing with an injury that will prevent her from competing at AEW Double or Nothing. She had originally been scheduled to face Alex Windsor in the Owen Hart Foundation Women’s Tournament. Along with the announcement, Nightingale also confirmed that she has relinquished the AEW TBS Championship.

Speaking during the Double or Nothing media call, Tony Khan told Samantha Schipman of Powerbomb Shells that the company plans to address the TBS Title situation following the pay-per-view. While no immediate replacement champion or match has been confirmed, Khan made it clear that a decision is expected soon after the event.

Changes have already been made to the tournament lineup. The originally scheduled Nightingale vs. Windsor match has been removed from the Double or Nothing card. In its place, AEW has shifted Mina Shirakawa vs. Athena onto the pay-per-view.

As for Alex Windsor, she will still compete in the Owen Hart Foundation Women’s Tournament, but against a yet-to-be-named wild card entrant. That match will now take place at a later date rather than at Double or Nothing.

The introduction of a wild card adds another layer of uncertainty to the tournament, while the status of the TBS Championship remains unresolved heading out of the event. All eyes will now be on AEW’s post-pay-per-view plans to determine how the title picture is reshaped in Nightingale’s absence.

El Grande Americano AAA Appearance Canceled After Ludwig Kaiser Arrest

El Grande Americano AAA Appearance Canceled After Ludwig Kaiser Arrest

Ludwig Kaiser recent arrest is now affecting his wrestling schedule, as a planned AAA appearance connected to his El Grande Americano character has been officially canceled. The event, which was set to take place on May 21 in Mexico City, was part of a special “Serenata for El Grande Americano” show promoted by Lucha Libre AAA.

AAA confirmed the cancellation with a brief statement to fans. “The ‘Serenata for El Grande Americano’ event scheduled for tonight in Mexico City has been canceled.” The promotion followed up with another short message: “We appreciate your understanding.”

No official reason was provided by AAA, but the timing strongly suggests the decision is tied to Kaiser’s recent arrest in Florida. He was taken into custody following a reported physical altercation with another male, resulting in a battery charge. With an active legal case underway, travel restrictions are now a key issue, especially as Kaiser’s legal team has filed a request seeking permission for both domestic and international travel.

The situation creates complications given WWE’s demanding schedule, which often requires talent to travel across the United States and internationally for weekly television shows, premium live events, and promotional appearances. The canceled Mexico City booking appears to be the first direct impact of those limitations.

Kaiser has continued appearing on WWE programming under the masked El Grande Americano persona. WWE has not issued any public statement regarding his status as of now.

Looking ahead, attention will shift to the court’s decision on his travel request. That ruling could determine whether Kaiser is able to fulfill upcoming commitments, including potential appearances tied to AAA’s Noches de Los Grandes event on May 30. That show is currently scheduled to feature a Mask vs. Mask match between El Grande Americano and the Original El Grande Americano, portrayed by Chad Gable.

For now, uncertainty remains around Kaiser’s immediate future, as both WWE and AAA may need to adjust plans depending on how the legal process unfolds.

Austin Theory Sends Bold Message To Critics, Predicts Major WWE Legacy In Future

Austin Theory Sends Bold Message To Critics, Predicts Major WWE Legacy In Future

Austin Theory has delivered a confident and controversial message aimed at his critics, doubling down on his belief that his long-term legacy in wrestling will silence doubters.

Speaking on the Battleground Podcast, the current WWE World Tag Team Champion addressed online criticism of his in-ring ability and personality, while making a strong prediction about where he believes his career is heading over the next five years.

Austin Theory Sends Message to Critics

Theory did not hold back when discussing the reaction he receives from wrestling fans online, suggesting that much of the negativity stems from projection rather than genuine criticism. He also argued that his long-term growth in WWE will eventually change how he is viewed by the audience.

“Five years from now, you’re just going to, you’re going to really respect Austin Theory. And you know, you all do, truthfully.

But you know, the side of you that’s not real, that you try to show the internet where you’re like, ‘this guy can’t wrestle. This guy doesn’t have charisma.’ Look, we all know you can’t wrestle and we all know you have no charisma. That’s why most of you have zero girlfriends or zero girl experience at all because you’re just this guy that sits in your mom’s basement eating pizza rolls all day saying, ‘wow, I wish I could be Austin Theory, but I’m going to type that.’

No, ‘I hate him because I want to be him.’ That’s that’s what this is about.

So yeah, in five years I’m going to be the greatest thing in the world. So get with the program everybody.”

Theory’s comments come as he continues to establish himself as a featured name on WWE programming following his rise through NXT and his run as United States Champion. Since moving to the main roster, he has been positioned in a variety of high-profile storylines, often highlighted for his athleticism and potential as a long-term cornerstone talent.

While criticism from fans has remained consistent during parts of his run, Theory remains firmly convinced that time will reshape perception of his career. His latest comments underline a performer who sees himself as still ascending, rather than already defined.

Backstage Reaction To Baron Corbin WWE Return Reports

Backstage Reaction To Baron Corbin WWE Return Reports

Baron Corbin’s potential WWE return is now nearing completion stages, with multiple reports indicating that internal sentiment within the company has shifted strongly in favor of bringing him back.

WrestleVotes Radio reported that locker room sources view Corbin as a clear favorite to return, while additional WWE insiders now believe his comeback is effectively imminent following the conclusion of his remaining independent commitments.

It was originally reported that Corbin was either already signed or close to signing, and subsequent updates clarified that he has now finished obligations with Major League Wrestling (MLW) and other international bookings. The timing of those commitments finishing has aligned closely with WWE’s reported interest, strengthening expectations that an official return could be finalized soon.

According to WrestleVotes, there is genuine support for Corbin inside the WWE locker room. Several talent sources described him as a well-liked presence during his original 12-year WWE run, with multiple wrestlers reportedly expressing interest in working with him again if he returns. That internal backing is seen as one of the key reasons the company is comfortable revisiting his character and potential positioning on the roster.

Corbin, real name Tom Pestock, has been performing on the independent circuit under the name Bishop Dyer since his WWE departure in 2024. During that period, he has wrestled for promotions including MLW, NWA, GCW, Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling, and World Series Wrestling. His most recent appearances came on the WSW Rise Against tour in Australia, which concluded shortly before the latest wave of WWE return speculation intensified.

Pestock also addressed the situation publicly on X, reacting humorously to reports about his status and scheduling, suggesting he was not fully aware of how the narrative around his future was developing.

Corbin’s previous WWE career included a Money in the Bank win in 2017, King of the Ring victory in 2019, a United States Championship reign, and an NXT Tag Team Championship run alongside Bron Breakker. He was a consistent fixture across RAW and SmackDown programming for over a decade before his release in 2024.

At this stage, while WWE has not officially confirmed a deal, multiple reports suggest the return is in its final stages.
