WWE HOFer Hulk Hogan’s Former Accountant Reportedly Indicted For Embezzlement

WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan may be deceased, but he has been the topic of conversation recently thanks to Netflix’s documentary about the character and the man who portrayed him, Terry Bollea. He’s back in the headlines, but this time it’s not because of anything he did. His former accountant, Melissa Gauthereaux, has been charged with stealing $890,000 from a “public figure.”

According to TMZ, Bollea is not the public figure, although Gauthereaux was his accountant during the same time that she was allegedly embezzling funds. She has been charged with six counts of wire fraud. Between 2017 and 2021, Gauthereaux allegedly used her company, Account Resources and Management Services, to embezzle money. Bollea used her services as a bookkeeper. TMZ notes that the charges come after a lengthy investigation by the FBI. If convicted, she faces up to 20 years per charge.

Bollea died of cardiac arrest in July 2025 at 71. His last public appearance in WWE was at the Raw on Netflix premiere where he was booed out of the building, in part due to past racist remarks. His Real American Beer was sponsor of WWE and WWE has a minor stake in the company. He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2005.

Ronda Rousey Enjoyed Freedom Of Her AEW Appearance

After a successful run in WWE, Ronda Rousey parted ways with the promotion in October 2023, leaving on bad terms after growing frustrated with her creative direction. Rousey would then go on to publicly criticize both WWE and pro wrestling, claiming she was done with the industry. She’s since gone on to debut in Ring of Honor as well as appear in AEW, and in an interview with Complex, she recalled what she loved about stepping into Tony Khan’s promotion.

“One thing I really love about AEW is that it’s not PG, so I can walk in there and flip everybody off and walk out and laugh with my best friend and have a great time,” Rousey said. Additionally, Rousey felt like she wasn’t as edited as she had been in WWE. “I felt like I was doing somebody else’s impression of myself,” she stated about her time in WWE. “You can tell when I was allowed to write my own promos and when I wasn’t.”

Rousey acknowledged that her previous comments about WWE had been “catty,” but she didn’t feel bad about it. Despite that criticism, Rousey proclaimed that she enjoyed her time in the ring and clarified that her issues were primarily with Vince McMahon and his chosen creative direction.

In the past, Rousey has admitted that her appearance in AEW was also partly a middle-finger to the TKO Group, which she claims is all the more ironic because of her upcoming fight against Gina Carano that’ll be aired on Netflix, where “RAW” is also aired. She also reaffirmed that her AEW Revolution appearance came about due to the presence of her friend Marina Shafir on the card.

Bully Ray Identifies Moment In WWE Backlash Main Event That Bothered Him

The issues between Roman Reigns and Jacob Fatu are seemingly stronger than ever after the last few days, after Reigns narrowly retained the WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Fatu at WWE Backlash, though Fatu got his revenge with a post-match attack and another beat down of Reigns on “Raw.” Many have applauded WWE’s handling of the whole storyline, particularly in how the feud had made Fatu into a main event player.

But despite that, there was one aspect of the Backlash match that WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray was troubled by; the portrayal of Fatu’s Tongan Death Grip. Reviewing the match on Monday’s “Busted Open Radio,” Bully noted how good of a job WWE had done in establishing the Tongan Death Grip as an important move for Fatu leading up to his match with Reigns. But Bully felt that was undercut by Roman powering out of it in the match in a way the two-time Hall of Famer felt was unrealistic.

“I don’t think Roman Reigns should’ve hulked up out of the Tongan Death Grip,” Bully said. “That’s the one part of the match where I was like ‘Uh uh. This doesn’t work for me.’ There is no hulking up out of a Tongan Death Grip. There is no hulking up out of having your Adam’s Apple crushed in another human being’s hands.

“I don’t give a rats ass how tough Roman Reigns is. You don’t have a man the size, the stature, the strength of a Jacob Fatu crushing your Adam’s Apple in his hands enough to bring you down to your knees, and then all of a sudden you’re like ‘No! I’m getting this shot of adrenaline and I’m going to come out of it!’ Uh uh brother. It ain’t happening. That’s the only part of the match I wish they would’ve looked at a little differently, because to me, it’s beyond the realm of believability.”

Dana White Confirms Special Belt Will Be Awarded To UFC Freedom 250 Winners

Anticipation for the UFC Freedom 250 card at The White House is growing by the day, with the four men involved in the two title fights recently being invited to The Oval Office to meet with President Donald Trump. While Ilia Topuria, Justin Gaethje, Alex Pereira, and Cyril Gane were all posing for pictures with Trump for the media, a special commemorative UFC belt was displayed on Trump’s desk to celebrate the occasion.

At UFC Freedom 250, there will be two of those title belts as UFC President Dana White confirmed during the special press conference on May 8 to promote the event that the title fans saw in Trump’s office will be the title awarded to the winners of the two title fights. However, when asked if Trump himself will be the one to wrap the special titles around the winner’s waists, White stated that he doesn’t know about that quite yet.

A lot of preparation is going into the event, to the point where White recently revealed that the UFC will be working with the United States military so they know the weather reports for the day. UFC Freedom 250 will be the first US-based outdoor show the company has produced, meaning that the event might be at the mercy of mother nature, but White confirmed that outside of a lightning storm, nothing will stop the show from taking place. For those who want to attend the event, a free watch party will take place at The Ellipse across the street from The White House. With that said, despite the event at The Ellipse being free, fans will still have to sign up to register their interest ahead of time.

AEW Suing Triller TV Over Late Payments

Triller Group Inc. and TrillerTV have been sued by AEW over late payments. According to POST Wrestling, they owe AEW just under $5 million. Prior to filing a lawsuit, AEW sent written notices for payment in January and March 2025. POST reports that $4,988,989.13 is owed according to a letter from AEW’s outside counsel. The letter states that it continues to accrue 2% of interest per month.

In the letter, AEW’s counsel said, “[Triller Group Inc.’s] strategy of robbing revenues generated by TrillerTV’s distribution of AEW content to cover other of Defendants’ operating expenses (much of which was spent on the social media platform endeavor) negatively impacted its relationship with and payments owed to AEW.”

Formerly known as FITE, TrillerTV has been the home to many independent wrestling promotions like GCW and House of Glory for the last few years. They also aired NJPW STRONG events as well as AEW pay-per-views. Since being purchased by Triller Group Inc., TrillerTV has been late on making payments to many companies, including AEW.

A few weeks before AEW filed its lawsuit, TrillerTV filed a lawsuit of its own against their parent company. They say that they can’t pay their debts and have been abandoned by Triller Group Inc. They are attempting to have the Delaware Chancery Court declare that their officers are board of directors, which would allow them to decide if they want to declare bankruptcy.

AEW launched MyAEW for international fans in March 2026. Fans can watch pay-per-views along with current and past AEW shows with the streaming service. AEW ended its relationship with TrillerTV in April.
