WWE Hall Of Famer Rikishi Fatu Announces Departure From Indie Promotion & School

After a Hall of Fame career, Rikishi Fatu opted to give back to the pro wrestling industry by starting up a wrestling school, KnokX Pro Academy, alongside his cousin, Reno Anoa’i. While the school continues to operate 17 years after it’s establishment, Rikishi recently took to social media to announce that he’s parted ways with the academy.

“Love and respect KnokX Pro Entertainment & Academy. As I take my leave, I appreciate your understanding and respect for my decision to rest now. KnokX Pro Entertainment & Academy,” Fatu posted on X.

Per the school’s website, Reno has largely led training while Rikishi and fellow WWE alumni Gangrel and Orlando Jordan have contributed and helped refine the training process. It’s unclear how Rikishi’s departure will end up affecting the school. Last year, KnokX Pro was at the center of the Raja Jackson controversy, where the son of UFC legend “Rampage” Jackson brutally attacked one of the school’s wrestlers, Syko Sid. After the controversy broke, Knox Pro quietly removed the affiliation between itself and the “WWE ID” program.

In the past, Rikishi has expressed concerns about the sheer number of wrestling schools emerging across the United States. The veteran notably questioned some trainers’ legitimacy, suggesting that many may only be in it for the money.

Tony Khan Comments On Potential AEW Involvement From Kevin Nealon & Danny DeVito

Celebrities have long been involved in pro wrestling whether performing hosting duties, accompanying wrestlers to the ring, or having matches themselves. Last week, comedian Kevin Nealon seemingly threw out a challenge out of nowhere to Danny DeVito on X (formerly known as Twitter). Since then, he has been posting regularly about wanting to face DeVito in AEW. Tony Khan responded to Nealon to ask if they still had their outfits from the “Pumpin’ Up with Hanz and Franz” skit and posted a picture of Nealon, DeVito, Dana Carvey, and Arnold Schwarzenegger. Nealon said Franz loves AEW and posted a picutre of Franz with an All Elite graphic. DeVito has yet to respond, forcing Nealon to throw out a potential challenge to Schwarzenegger.

During an interview on the Battleground Podcast, Khan discussed the possibility of Nealon and DeVito getting involved with AEW. Since DeVito has not responded, Khan believes it’s because he’s scared of Nealon.

“Kevin is ready to fight, I can tell you thatm” Khan said. “Kevin Nealon is looking for a fight. He’s looking to come into AEW.”

Khan said he’s a big fan of both and thinks DeVito is a “phenomenal actor” and that Nealon is a “brilliant comedian.” Khan pointed out that Nealon worked with MJF in “Happy Gilmore 2.” He thinks it’s exciting that Nealon wants to work with AEW and put more pressure on DeVito by saying “If he has the guts, we’d love to have him.” Khan believes Nealon is moving closer to becoming All Elite.

“It feels like Kevin wants to be here and I hope Danny does too,” he said.

Roman Reigns Delivers Post-Raw Promo Promising Better Outcome At WWE Backlash

Since his feud with CM Punk began at the start of the year, WWE World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns has found himself either putting people through tables or getting put through them himself. That was the case again last night when Reigns had a contract signing with his cousin, and Backlash opponent, Jacob Fatu. Fed up with Reigns insulting him, Fatu instigated a brawl, and ultimately put Reigns in the Tongan Death Grip before sending him through a table to bring “Raw” to a close.

Fortunately for Reigns, it appears his pride was hurt more than anything else. After “Raw” went off the air, X user Your Original Tribal Chief captured footage of Reigns back on his feet in the ring, observing the wreckage that Fatu caused. Reigns then proceeded to cut a passionate promo, promising that Fatu wouldn’t be delivering a repeat performance at Backlash.

“I’ve held my ground in this company for too long, and I ain’t letting it go just yet!” Reigns said. “In Tampa, that’s where we have to hold it down. But here in Omaha, this is where we realize what has to happen. At Backlash, I’m whooping Jacob’s ass. At Backlash, it’s ‘And still!’ At Backlash, you’re looking at the Head of the Table and the Tribal Chief above all.”

Having just won the World Heavyweight Championship from Punk at WrestleMania, Reigns has been considered the odds on favorite to defeat Fatu and retain the championship on Saturday. However, some have wondered if a shock title change to Fatu could happen after it was revealed that Reigns had been removed from previously scheduled dates in June, reportedly because he wouldn’t be participating at the Night of Champions PLE in late June.

Injury Update On AEW’s Kyle Fletcher

Former AEW TNT Champion Kyle Fletcher has been sidelined due to an injury, and a recent update has provided a few details.

Fletcher, following the March 28 edition of “AEW Collision,” was seen wearing a protective boot, with reports later revealing that he suffered a meniscus injury. As per “Fightful Select,” Fletcher was spotted backstage at the May 2 edition of “Collision,” which was held in Illinois. The report, though, clarified that Fletcher is not close to a return to the ring and was only backstage to see friends, as he is a resident of Illinois.

The meniscus injury isn’t the only injury that Fletcher has to rehab from, with reports suggesting that he has to deal with other injuries that he has picked up in the ring. The Aussie star was the TNT Champion when he sustained the injury, forcing him to vacate the title, with a new champion then crowned through a Casino Gauntlet match at Dynasty.

Kevin Knight became the TNT title at the pay-per-view, pinning Daniel Garcia in the end to win his first singles title in AEW. Fletcher, Tony Khan later said, was to be a key part of his plans for Dynasty, but his injury left him without the Australian star, who may still be some time away from returning to an AEW ring.

WWE’s Nikki Bella Vows To Return From Injury For Another Run With Twin Sister Brie

Nikki Bella has discussed her goals in WWE after she returns from her injury.

The Bella Twin suffered an ankle injury earlier this year, ruling her out of WrestleMania 42, where her sister Brie teamed with the returning Paige and won the women’s tag team titles. While speaking on the “Nikki & Brie Show,” Nikki Bella detailed what she has been doing to recover from her injury.

“I’m going to take this time to really, one, like mentally, mindset-wise, regroup and know like here’s the game plan, here’s your end date, and these are the things that I want to achieve before that end date. So, how do I get there? That’s the mindset. And as far as like my body, I’m going to work with Katie, our trainer, on keeping my arms and shoulders strong, my core strong. What can I do for my quads and my glutes to keep that strong while I’m rehabbing my ankle, to be with my therapist all the time on rehabbing my ankle and knowing like my bone is growing the strongest,” she said.

Nikki revealed that she is going to focus on her rehab for the next six to eight weeks, get an X-ray, and hope she is cleared to get back in the ring. She outlined her goals in the ring, with one of them being to team with her sister once again.

“I still want to achieve with you. I really, like, have that dream with our kids, and we have those moments and the moments that you and I want. I really want the full circle moment with you, of course, and I really would love to do maybe one more solo run, and I’m kind of excited for you because you’ve been crushing it in the ring,” Nikki told her sister.

Aside from wrestling alongside her sister and having another solo run, Nikki also intends to have another heel run with her sister on WWE television.
