Anna Jay Confirms Current AEW Contract Is Coming To An End

Anna Jay has addressed recent rumors about her contract with AEW and confirmed that her deal is set to expire soon.

There’s been speculation on social media in recent days about Anna Jay’s future, with a recent report from “Fightful” claiming that Jay was unhappy about not being featured on Blood & Guts and wanted more opportunities in AEW. The report also stated that she had the number of “NXT” boss Shawn Michaels, who is reportedly interested in signing her. Jay dismissed all rumors aside from the news about her AEW contract on her Twitch stream, revealing that it is set to expire soon.

“I want to address some of the stuff that’s going on. It’s not a big deal, but there’s a lot of stuff going on online that you guys have been seeing. A lot of it is not true. I guess allegedly there was the source was someone I used to work with, and he is no longer working for me as of a few months ago. So I don’t know exactly if that’s true or not, but it apparently came from him. The only thing out of everything that’s been posted that’s true is just that my contract is coming up. But that is it,” she said. “I mean, everything else that you guys have seen, it’s pretty much BS.”

Anna Jay’s boyfriend and fellow AEW star, Jack Perry, also had some choice words for “Fightful” reporter Sean Ross Sapp to make it clear that the report was baseless.

Reports of Anna Jay’s contract with All Elite Wrestling expiring first surfaced in December 2025, with the report claiming that her deal was set to expire within a few months. Jay hasn’t wrestled on AEW television since November, when she featured in a tag team match alongside her partner Tay Melo on “Collision.”

Jim Ross Discusses How AEW Needs To Handle World Champion Darby Allin Going Forward

Jim Ross has suggested ways Darby Allin can become a credible AEW World Champion and emerge as “the guy” in AEW.

Allin, surprisingly, won the AEW world title from MJF on the “AEW Dynamite” after the Dynasty pay-per-view. On his “Grilling JR” podcast, Ross explained that winning should be the only goal for Allin in his current world title reign.

“AEW’s kind of following a trend of what we projected and they’re doing the right thing. You got to get Darby Allin over. We hear the people cheering him when he comes out, so he’s got a base. But we need to get Darby Allin over. And quite honestly — this is not any sage advice or some major trade secret – but you get him over by him winning for a while. If he’s established as ‘the guy’ — [which] he’s not yet — but if he was established, you could be more creative on the creative. But the issue is that he’s just not there yet. He needs to win. Bottom line,” declared Ross. Wins are good right now for Darby. Survival, surviving, winning. That’s what he needs to do.”

The legendary commentator commended the AEW World Champion, stating that Allin is a “unique character” who has to be booked carefully.

“Darby is a unique character. He’s got to be handled correctly. Break all the components of his game down and focus on what he does the best. What he does the best is sell and take chances and win,” he added.

Ross discussed comparisons between Allin and Mick Foley, which he isn’t convinced by, citing the size difference between the two. He believes Allin can succeed as AEW World Champion if he’s booked logically. Since winning the title from MJF, Allin has successfully defended the world title against Tommaso Ciampa and Brody King on back-to-back editions of “Dynamite.”

Anna Jay Addresses AEW Contract Status And Shuts Down Rumors

Anna Jay has cleared the air regarding her AEW status, addressing recent speculation during a Twitch stream while confirming one key detail about her future.

The AEW star has been away from in ring action since late 2025, when she and Tay Melo were eliminated from the Women’s World Tag Team Title tournament on Collision. Now, she is set to return this Saturday with a TBS Championship opportunity against Willow Nightingale, placing her right back into a high profile spot.

During her stream, Jay pushed back on the growing online chatter surrounding her situation, making it clear that much of what has been circulating is inaccurate. She pointed to a former associate as the possible origin of the claims, noting that the individual is no longer part of her circle.

“A lot of stuff going on online that you guys have been seeing, a lot of it is not true. I guess, allegedly, the source was someone I used to work with, and he no longer is working for me as of a few months ago.

“So I don’t know exactly if that’s true or not, but it apparently came from him. The only thing out of everything that’s been posted that’s true is just that my contract is coming up, but that is it. That’s it. No big deal. That’s it.

“Everything else that you guys have seen is pretty much BS.”

Jay did confirm that her AEW contract is nearing its expiration, which lines up with earlier reports suggesting her deal would run through spring 2026. However, she stressed that beyond that, the rumors hold no weight.

She later doubled down on social media after a video surfaced discussing her status, which included claims about outside interest and dissatisfaction with her role. Jay did not hold back in her response.

“I don’t know where this information is coming from, and you don’t know what you’re talking about.

Please shut up.

See you guys on Collision Saturday”

Following her comments, Sean Ross Sapp clarified that his earlier reporting had been based on information provided by Jay’s representatives at the time, adding context to how the original story developed.

“Full disclosure, I have reached out to Anna Jay today to communicate this , The information came directly from her reps or agents at the time when the details of her deal came out last year. Literally all of it. They have since said that she is handling her new deal herself. If they misrepresented that info, sorry to relay that info. But that’s the complete story about how that emerged. Every bit of it.”

With her return to action set for Collision and a title match ahead, Jay’s focus now appears firmly on what happens inside the ring rather than the speculation surrounding her future.
