Giovanni Vinci Credits WWE Success To Former WCW Star

Though he wound up getting released from WWE back in 2024, Giovanni Vinci had a very eventful career within the promotion, competing in WWE’s Cruiserweight Classic, and eventually becoming a member of the Imperium stable alongside GUNTHER, Ludvig Kaiser, and Alexander Wolfe. And according to Vinci, it may not have been possible if not for him learning under former WCW star Alex Wright.

In an appearance on “Insight with Chris Van Vliet,” Vinci talked about how he discovered Wright was a wrestling trainer via European wrestling websites. From there, all it took was contacting the former WCW Cruiserweight and Television Champion in order to begin his wrestling training.

“There was a page, a German website called Wrestling Infos where I always read the results or whatever,” Vinci said. “And one day I went on it and there was a picture of a guy pointing at the screen, saying ‘Do you have what it takes?” So I clicked on it, and it was Alex Wright. And it said Nuremberg, Germany, which was like a four hour drive away from me every time I wanted to get in the ring. But I knew he was the guy that was where I wanted to go. He was in the States, he worked for WCW for 9 years.

“And I texted him, asking if he trains people from Italy. He says ‘Yeah, sure. Come by.’ And I just did four hour drives for like 200 times I think, there and back. I worked all week…I’m very grateful, because he allowed me to be in the ring as much as I wanted. And he had, like fourteen hour days on Saturday, and fourteen hour days on Sunday. And I’d hang around all day, end up wrestling with him after that, and then driving home.”

Former AEW World Champion Spotted On Set Of Dexter: Resurrection

AEW’s Chris Jericho appears to have joined the cast of “Dexter: Resurrection” Season Two.

The second season of the show began shooting in New York two weeks ago, and is expected to release next year. Pictures of the set emerged through Jose Perez of Bauer-Griffin, with Jericho snapped in a scene with Michael C. Hall, playing the titular serial killer.

Based on the scene in the photos, Jericho’s character will not only be an antagonist but one that finds himself in the crosshairs of Hall’s Dexter. Those who watch the series will know what that means for him.

Jericho has only recently returned to AEW having been absent since April last year, losing to Ricochet at Dynasty and continuing his feud with him and the Demand on TV since then. He was reported to be absent during this week’s show due to filming a TV project in New York, which is now clear to have been “Dexter: Resurrection.”

This isn’t his first role outside of his duties in AEW, having previously starred as Adam Burke in the “Terrifier 2” and “Terrifier 3” releasing in 2022 and 2024 respectively. He also appeared as a contestant in “The Masked Singer” in 2022.

TNA Thursday Night iMPACT Results 4/30 – TNA International Championship On The Line, Six Woman Tag Match

Welcome to Wrestling Inc.’s live coverage for “TNA Thursday Night iMPACT” on April 30, 2026, coming to you live from the Upstate Medical University Arena at the Oncenter War Memorial in Syracuse, New York!

Mustafa Ali of Order 4 promised an Open Challenge to anyone who wished to receive a shot at his TNA International Championship on both the current TNA Wrestling roster and talent from across the world on the April 16 episode of “Thursday Night iMPACT”. Following such, he will be putting his title on the line tonight as he defends against Adam Brooks who has wrestled across the world in promotions across the world including Melbourne City Wrestling, CMLL, CZW, PWG, PROGRESS Wrestling, and Ring of Honor.

Allie will be competing in a TNA Wrestling ring for the first time since taking part in a Six Woman Tag Team Match on the March 8, 2019 episode of “Thursday Night iMPACT” as she joins forces with Rosemary and Mara Sadè to take on The Diamond Collective’s Tessa Blanchard, Mila Moore, and Victoria Crawford. Rosemary previously revived Allie from the dead in the Undead Realm with Sadè later befriending them both, while The Diamond Collective looked for a route to escape elsewhere after unwillingly got trapped in The Undead Realm. The Diamond Collective managed to make their escape on April 16, but were confronted by Allie, Rosemary, and Sadè just moments later in the ringside area.

One half of the TNA World Tag Team Champions Jeff Hardy will be going head-to-head with The Righteous’ Vincent. Although The Righteous turned their backs on The Hardys a few weeks ago when they blindsided Matt Hardy with a pair of attacks, The Hardys still managed to retain their TNA World Tag Team Championship against The Righteous in a Tables Match on the April 9 episode of “Thursday Night iMPACT”.

Tensions between Frankie Kazarian and Elijah have been on the rise over the past several weeks, with Kazarian scoring a pair of wins against Elijah at TNA Rebellion on April 11 in singles action and in a tag team match wherein himself and AJ Francis defeated Elijah and The Home Town Man. Tonight, the two men will be meeting in the ring once again when they square off in a Walk With Elijah Match.

Speaking of The Home Town Man, he will be competing in a match of his own tonight as he goes head-to-head with Mr. Elegance of The Elegance Brand in singles competition. Both men were featured in competition a handful of weeks ago, with Mr. Elegance emerged victorious against Mike Jackson on the March 19 edition of “Thursday Night iMPACT” while The Home Town Man came up short to AJ Francis on the April 2 episode of “Thursday Night iMPACT”.

Additionally, Leon Slater will be making an appearance on tonight’s show as he continues his quest to break Austin Aries’ 298 day reign and become the longest ever reigning TNA X-Division Champion on May 15.

We are live! Tom Hannifan and Matthew Rehwoldt greet audiences at home as Vincent makes his way to the ring. Jeff Hardy follows.

Jim Ross Not Convinced Brock Lesnar Is Finished After WrestleMania 42

Jim Ross Not Convinced Brock Lesnar Is Finished After WrestleMania 42

Brock Lesnar appeared to signal the end of his in-ring career after losing to Oba Femi at WrestleMania 42, leaving his boots and gloves in the ring. Despite that moment, Jim Ross is not convinced the former champion is done competing.

Speaking on Grilling JR, Ross made it clear he expects Lesnar to return in some form, even if not as a regular performer.

“Here’s what I think will happen. Have we seen the last of Brock Lesnar? Hell no. No way. Have we seen the last of Brock Lesnar as a semi-reoccurring character on TV? I think so, but I don’t think we’ve seen the last of him. I think that for WrestleMania next year or major events or what have you, it’s just a crazy world, man. With all those financial-oriented guys investing in the company and owning a piece of this and a piece of that, they’re in it for the cash. If they project that Brock Lesnar return to fight Oba Femi, I know they fought already, but that means nothing to me. If you’re good at what you do for a living, you should be able to do it more often than once and kick ass. I’m sure those two guys could do that.”

Following WrestleMania, there have been mixed reports regarding Lesnar’s status. Some backstage figures believe his appearance in Las Vegas was intended as a legitimate farewell. At the same time, speculation continues about a possible return later this year.

One of the most discussed matchups involves Gunther. Ross strongly supported that potential bout and believes it should be reserved for WWE’s biggest stage.

“That’s a match that has to be booked at someplace soon. At least get the story started and percolating a little bit and build anticipation in a slow process. Of course we know Lesnar’s win-loss loss record is going to be stellar. Nobody hardly beats Brock except Oba did and that was a good fight. That was the right thing to do. But man, Brock and GUNTHER, that’s a WrestleMania match, not SummerSlam, not Royal Rumble. It’s a WrestleMania match. It’s already half-ass built. It’s like building a castle. Now you’re just putting the finishing touches on it because the foundation is laid. The structure is in your vision. That’d be a WrestleMania match in my view, and it would sell like a son of a b****, especially in Minneapolis where Lesnar [has history].”*

There has been ongoing talk about Lesnar possibly appearing at SummerSlam, which is set to take place in Minneapolis, Minnesota. However, no official confirmation has been made regarding his involvement.

For now, Lesnar’s future remains uncertain. While WrestleMania 42 may have looked like a farewell, comments from Ross and continued speculation suggest the door could still be open for another appearance.

Jim Ross Talks Brock Lesnar’s Apparent Retirement, Potential WWE Match With GUNTHER

“That’s a match that has to be booked at someplace soon,” Ross said regarding the possibility of Lesnar facing GUNTHER. “At least get the story started and percolating a little bit and build anticipation in a slow process. That’d be a WrestleMania match in my view, and it would sell like a son of a b*****, especially in Minneapolis where Lesnar [has history].”

For years, wrestling fans and pundits have backed the idea of “The Beast” taking on “The Ring General.” GUNTHER himself has supported it as well, citing his desire to be a “final boss” in WWE, much like Lesnar had previously been. Outside of a singular faceoff in a Royal Rumble, an official match between the two has yet to materialize.

SummerSlam 2026 will take place in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the city in which Lesnar amateur wrestled for the University of Minnesota, on August 1 and 2. WrestleMania 43 will emanate from Saudi Arabia sometime next spring. Given his apparent retirement at this year’s “Show of Shows,” it is unclear if Lesnar will wrestle at either event. However, WWE officials are reportedly hopeful that he will at least appear at SummerSlam in some manner.
