Jiri Prochazka Fires Back At UFC LHW Champ Carlos Ulberg, Calls Him ‘A Stripper’

When some fighters lose in the UFC, it can take them weeks, months, or sometimes years to fully recover, especially when they are sent on the lightless walk and are left looking at the ceiling when all is said and done. Jiri Prochazka is not one of those people, as he stated that he’s already working hard to get back to top form, and to learn the mistakes of his fight with Ulberg.

“Only thing I know is hard work, keep working, beat the opponent through hard work. Right now, this time, it showed me it can be really easy, and I was not prepared for this scenario. About the things that he’s saying right now, congrats, he’s the champion. Really, he caught me. I accept that, but all these things that he said about I played something, maybe I’m too old to play something. I want to be rare. I want to be real. That was b******* what he said. I don’t want to say any more things and some excuses, I don’t care. I lost. I accept, and let’s go back.”

Prochazka also has a much bigger task away from the cage as he became a father for the first time shortly after the fight with Ulberg. “Denisa” stated that looking after his child is his main priority right now, but he will use being a father to help him through his next camp and lead him to victory when he returns to the cage.

Nick Khan Reportedly Takes Responsibility For Running WWE WrestleMania 42 In Las Vegas

WWE surprised many by heading back to Las Vegas and the Allegiant Stadium for WrestleMania 42, which WWE President Nick Khan has admitted was his idea.

WrestleMania 42 was originally set to take place in New Orleans, Louisiana, but WWE decided to head back to Las Vegas, which hosted the previous year’s edition of “The Show of Shows.” Khan recently revealed in a TKO town hall that he was the one who pitched for the marquee event to be held at the Allegiant Stadium once again, which he stated is something they won’t do again, despite the show being a success in his eyes.

“That was ultimately my decision. Maybe we don’t do that one again in terms of back-to-back, but ultimately it ended up being a successful event,” he said [via Post Wrestling].

The decision to host the show at the same venue was purely due to financial reasons following the success of WWE WrestleMania 41, while Las Vegas reportedly also offered WWE $6 million to keep the show in the city. WrestleMania 42 was not as successful as WrestleMania 41 in terms of ticket sales, as there was a sizable decline across both nights.

Next year’s WWE WrestleMania will have a new venue, as the event will be held outside North America for the first time in history when it takes place in Saudi Arabia. WrestleMania 44 in 2028 could be held at an interesting venue that Khan teased during the aforementioned town hall, with recent reports revealing that Nashville has submitted a bid to host the show.

WWE WrestleMania 42 Performer Explains How Danhausen Segment With John Cena ‘Evolved’

Danhausen’s popularity grew at WWE WrestleMania 42, and on that night, he had a few little people to thank, one of whom spoke glowingly about appearing on “The Show of Shows.”

On Night 2 of WrestleMania 42, Danhausen interrupted the segment involving The Miz, Kit Wilson, and John Cena, arriving in the ring in his Hausenmobile and accompanied by little people from MicroMania Midget Wrestling. One of those wrestlers, Richard Fitswell, spoke on “Rewind Recap Relive” about how The Miz helped give them an even greater role in the segment.

“It was phenomenal. So, it was supposed to be something simple. Just walk out with him down the ramp, and it evolved into something bigger. We had The Miz come to our dressing room. He asked us if we could pick him up. He started that. And backstage, we lifted him up, and he said, ‘All right, I’m going to go to production and see if we can add it to the skit.’ Then we went to rehearsal. John Cena was side stage, Danhausen asked John Cena to be part of the production. Then they asked if we would come into the ring, and then one of the gentlemen gets rushed, and one of our other guys punch, kick, and in the lower, you know, area, and then we pummel him. And then, we go to Miz and carry him out. So, that was all built out, [and it] evolved. Like I said, it was simple, and then it evolved into something big. And to have John Cena out there, wrestle Miz, and [have] Danhausen, that’s like a dream come true,” he said.

Fitswell said that this was his first-ever involvement in a WWE production and revealed that Triple H and Cena applauded their performance.

“After the fact, John Cena and Triple H came to us and said what a great job and we would love to have you back,” he added.

The MicroMania Midget Wrestling wrestler praised Danhausen and the rest of the WWE stars he spoke with, stating that the whole interaction was phenomenal.

AJ Styles Comments On Brock Lesnar’s Apparent Retirement At WWE WrestleMania 42

Brock Lesnar’s dominating pro wrestling career seemingly came to an end at WrestleMania 42, where he undid his boots and left his gloves in the middle of the ring, following a loss to Oba Femi. Recently retired AJ Styles has been approaching the industry from the outside since stepping away, and during an episode of “Phenomenally Retro” he shared his take on Lesnar’s apparent retirement.

“If Brock has indeed retired, good for him, man. I get it. I understand it,” he stated. “The crazy thing about – that most people don’t think about – is that John Cena, Brock, and myself are all the same age…Your body’s breaking down at this point, no matter how great a shape, or how much you’ve wrestled in the last couple years or whatever, it’s just something- you’re not going to beat time, man.”

Styles further praised Lesnar for putting Femi over on his way out and expressed that he thinks it was the right move to elevate Femi going forward.

“He may turn into the Goldberg that WCW [had],” Styles further said about Femi. “And he’s a good dude. And he’s still humble. I hope it’s everything he thought it was going to do; I’m anxious to see what he does next.”

Since defeating Lesnar, Femi has competed against Grayson Waller and has now started a weekly open-challenge, declaring himself “The Ruler of Raw.”

Wife Of Bruno Sammartino Died In March

Son of the late WWE Hall of Famer Bruno Sammartino, Darryl, revealed that his mother, Carol, died at the age of 96 on March 4.

Carol and Bruno married in 1959 and had three children together, David, the eldest, and fraternal twins Danny and Darryl. They went on to have four grandchildren, living in Ross Township, Pennsylvania since 1965.

Darryl told Bill Apter that she had died on March 4 after living in a home for approximately 16 months. He also said she had slowly deteriorated since his brother Danny passed away six months after Bruno did. Bruno died on April 18, 2018, at 82 years old.

“She was suffering toward the end,” he said. “She’s not suffering anymore which I’m very happy about. That’s it. Nobody deserves that.”

The Cauliflower Alley Club, a respected non-profit fraternal organization for wrestlers and boxers, shared a statement with a memorial pamphlet.

“The Cauliflower Alley Club extends its deepest and most heartfelt condolences to the family, friends, and loved ones of Carol Sammartino, who passed away at the age of 96. Rest in peace, Mrs. Sammartino,” the statement read.

Carol and Bruno founded the Bruno and Carol Sammartino Foundation in 2019, helping people in need with food, shelter, and other support in Western Pennsylvania.
