Bishop Dyer (Fka Baron Corbin) Comments On Dangerous Sol Ruca Bump On WWE NXT

Former WWE star Bishop Dyer has criticized Sol Ruca for her nasty bump on “WWE NXT,” a day after she featured on “WWE Raw.”

Ruca fell nastily onto a table during her main event clash with Zaria, a spot that Dyer analyzed on “Busted Open” and said was solely catered to the internet wrestling community.

“This is what happens when people are marks. Period. And she did that bump for the internet. I’m telling you right now, NXT, Shawn Michaels, Baldo, all of them didn’t say, ‘Hey, I have a great idea for a big bump for you on this match.’ I promise you that’s not the bump that she was offered. I’ve been in WWE way too long to know that they’re not gonna do that,” he began. “I guarantee it was Sol’s idea for that bump. Guarantee. I know the system. Imagine if Shawn Michaels had to call up Hunter and say, ‘Hey, Sol got hurt, she’s out six months because of a bump I pitched her.”

Bully Ray, who was also on the show, said that Ruca would have had to get approval from the “NXT” creative team for such a bump, to which Dyer responded that he would have rejected the idea if Ruca had proposed it to him.

“A hundred percent, they [WWE creative team] have to say yes or no, and I would have said no. I would have said it’s not worth. Look, the two-second internet meme is not worth potentially derailing your career on the main roster, where the ink is not even dry on the contract,” he added.

Dyer revealed that he once advised Tommaso Ciampa not to perform risky bumps, as it would ultimately lead to frequent injuries. He believes that “NXT” stars doing such dangerous spots is unwise, as it could hinder their chances on the main roster. Dyer thinks Ruca may, in hindsight, think that it was a stupid decision to take that bump if it puts her on the shelf and jeopardizes her chances on the main roster.

Newly-Returned WWE Star Paige Says This Latest Run Is Probably Her Last As A Wrestler

TNA President Carlos Silva Mends Fences With WrestleCon

WrestleCon has announced that TNA Wrestling and Carlos Silva have reimbursed the expenses incurred to bring Leon Slater to the promotion for a match.

TNA pulled out its wrestlers from facing AEW stars in recent weeks, and one of the matches that was a victim of the promotion’s decision was the clash between TNA’s Leon Slater and AEW’s Ricochet. The match was supposed to take place over WrestleMania weekend at the WrestleCon Mark Hitchcock Memorial SuperShow 2026 on April 16, 2026. WrestleCon posted an update on social media, disclosing that Silva called them to explain why Slater had to be pulled out and covered his hotel and flight expenses.

“He took a beating the last few weeks, so I want to give @carlossilva his props today. A week ago, he called me personally to explain his reasoning for pulling the match. He then asked if there was anything he could do to make up for it. I simply asked that he reimburse me for Leon’s flights/hotel since he was no longer wrestling for us. Today, I was reimbursed for the flight/hotel as promised. Thank you Carlos,” said the statement by WrestleCon.

After news emerged that TNA would be pulling out its stars due to “partner conflicts,” WrestleCon posted a blunt commentary directed at TNA, stating that the show — in tribute to a superfan — was personal to them.

While Slater didn’t feature at the show, as expected, Ricochet did as part of the main event, where he teamed with Bishop Kaun and Toa Liona against the trio of Mike Bailey, Kevin Knight, and Michael Oku. Even without Slater, WrestleCon featured several prominent names, including AEW stars like Bandido, Mark Davis, Blake Christian, Lee Johnson, and Beast Mortos, as well as former TNA stars like Rhino, Heath, Mance Warner, and Steph De Lander.

WWE HOFer Ric Flair Explains Ban From WrestleMania, Tried To Fight Ludwig Kaiser

Ric Flair has gone off on Ludwig Kaiser, alleging that his altercation with the WWE star led to him being banned from attending WrestleMania.

In his appearance on “The Ariel Helwani Show,” Flair revealed that he argued with Kaiser, following the drama that unfolded during the storyline between Tiffany Stratton and Charlotte Flair last year.

“I didn’t get invited to WrestleMania this year. I threatened to beat up Tiffany Stratton’s husband last year. I wasn’t allowed to go. A 24-year-old kid [Kaiser’s 35] being threatened by a 76-year-old man, and I can’t go to WrestleMania. Are you kidding me? That English kid [Kaiser’s German], he’s going to go as far in wrestling as a net. He’ll be a fly in the wall in a year,” Flair began angrily. “Well, they had that thing, you know, where Tiffany’s made a smart remark about Ashley’s [Charlotte] divorces, which we both know she’s not smart enough to have written. Somebody gave her a script and then he implied that — you know I’m just going based on social media once again, which there’s a lot [of misinformation] — that he was implying that he wouldn’t bum one off Ashley, and I went, ‘Okay, I need your number.’ I got it — which I can get anybody’s number I want any minute of any day — and I called him. I said, ‘When I see you, I’m going to beat the sh*t out of you.’ So, he went like a little bi*ch [and] told Hunter, and I wasn’t allowed to go.”

Flair angrily stated that Kaiser will not go far in the pro wrestling business, and seemingly didn’t know his whereabouts — despite him currently portraying the El Grande Americano character with great success in AAA — even questioning whether he is part of the WWE roster.

“Is he even on the roster?” asked Flair, with Helwani responding that he’s currently in Mexico. “I’m sure he is. I hope he stays [in Mexico].”

“The Nature Boy” stated that he doesn’t get the respect he deserves, asserting that WWE should roll out the red carpet for him for his impact on the pro wrestling business.

WWE Star Seth Rollins Walks Off Set Of NFL Network’s Good Morning Football

After NFL legend Tom Brady’s disparaging comments about WWE created a storm, “Good Morning Football” host Kyle Brandt ridiculed WWE, which resulted in Seth Rollins walking off the set.

Rollins appeared on “Good Morning Football” for night 1 of the NFL Draft, where Brandt drew parallels between NFL and WWE, and how WWE stars can’t play football, which didn’t go down well with Rollins.

“NFL at 32 is more impressive than wrestling at 39,” Brandt began. “Any 7th round pick tonight can go off the top rope. They can do that stuff. And by the way, half the roster, Seth, is like in the late 30s, early 40s. NFL at 42 is like Ric Flair in his 60s. We’re talking about a real sport, not predetermined, big-time hitch, 22 people. I figured out what it is with Seth. You’re a little nervous because it’s night one of the draft, and you know that next year you’ll be night one only at WrestleMania. And there’s a symmetry there for you, and I think I finally tapped into it.”

Brandt then goaded Rollins, asking if he wanted to leave, before mocking him and saying he could bring in Gunther — the man who defeated him at WrestleMania 42 — to the studio. Rollins got up, threw a towel at Brandt’s face, and walked out.

“I don’t really appreciate it. I don’t have to do this,” said Rollins. “No, I do want to be here, but not when I’m treated like this. I don’t have to do this. You know what? You want to steal every segment. You want to steal all the show. That’s your thing. Right now, you can have the segment so you don’t have to look at it.”

Brandt took another shot at Rollins when he was leaving, asking his wife and WWE star Becky Lynch — who won the women’s Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania — to replace him. Rollins left the set, asking Brandt to continue the show. In a later update, Brandt revealed that Rollins had left the building, which surprised him as he thought they were doing a “bit” and he would return.
