Lexis King Reigns Supreme In WWE Men’s Speed Title Match

Lexis King is once again a champion in “WWE NXT” after defeating EK Prosper for the Men’s Speed Championship.

The Speed title was vacant and on the line in Tuesday’s tournament final after Elio LaFleur was forced out of action with a shoulder injury, pitting Prosper against King after wins against Dorian Van Dux and Chazz Hall in the semi-finals respectively.

King entered the match flanked by the rest of Birthright, who made their presence known during the match as Prosper continued to get the better of King in the early stages.

TNA Knockouts World Champion Arianna Grace’s involvement in particular, putting herself between Prosper and a suicide dive to halt him, and later distracting him for the King to get the eventual win, proved to be crucial for the new Speed Champion.

For him it is a second title since switching AEW for “NXT,” reigning as Heritage Cup Champion from December 2024 until April the following year.

CM Punk Reflects On Legendary 2011 WWE Championship Match With John Cena In Chicago

Although fans don’t look back fondly on WWE’s programming during the early 2010s, one of the bright spots was CM Punk and John Cena competing to be the face of the company, and their clash at Money In The Bank 2011 was the glimmer of hope through a rough patch for the promotion. Punk and Cena’s battle at Money In The Bank has been viewed as one of the greatest professional matches of all-time, and according to “The Best In The World,” the fans and the timing of the contest is what made it memorable today.

“I ride the wave. I am carried to the position I’m in because of those fans, because of those people in Chicago. Just an unbelievable once-in-a-lifetime atmosphere where we capture that lightning, we’re riding on that lightning bolt and all the ingredients are there … Nobody really knew what was going to happen. They knew I was out the door. They knew I was leaving. So obviously he’s going to lose and when you have that kind of perfect storm, you can create magic. And John is a guy who I’m very grateful for in my career … he didn’t have to be that nice or giving to me, a lot of top guys back then weren’t,” he explained on “All The Smoke.” “Was one of the guys who was like ‘Here’s the ball, kid. Run with it.’ And I did what I could.”

Punk continued by saying that Cena is his wrestling soulmate, and that he was more generous than other top stars 15 years ago. He also compares his relationship with Cena to American football, stating that he was the lead running back while the “Never Seen 17” was the quarterback of WWE, and they always scored touchdowns.

WWE NXT NA Champion Myles Borne Overcomes Numbers Disadvantage At Revenge

Myles Borne is still North American Champion after overcoming the DarkState numbers game and defeating Dion Lennox on the second night “WWE NXT: Revenge.” DarkState hasn’t been on the same page for the last few weeks, and it showed on Tuesday, despite Saquon Shugars attempting to help Lennox.

The pair fought a back-and-forth battle until Borne flew over the top rope to take out Lennox and Osiris Griffin on the outside. Lennox sent Borne back out of the ring, then exposed the iron bars underneath the ring skirt and ran the champion back-first into them. Lennox was in control through a picture-in-picture break, and Cutler James and the rest of DarkState stomped on Borne on the outside.

Lennox kicked the steel stairs as Borne moved out of the way of his kick, but Lennox dropped him on top of the steel. Back in the ring, Borne tried hard to rally, but Lennox kept him off his feet and almost had him pinned with a sit-down powerbomb. Borne hit a DDT, then a series of clotheslines, before he went to the top rope.

Shugars tried to knock him off, but the referee saw the interference. Lennox still got the upper hand and hit a superplex, but Borne stopped the pin attempt even after hitting the max. As they continued to go back-and-forth, DarkState rallied and split up around the ring, attempting to distract the referee. The move didn’t work, and Borne sent Lennox crashing into Shugars on the apron, then hit the Borne Again to retain the title.

In a backstage segment later on in the night, Shugars revealed to Lennox “they got their rematch” after he spoke with “NXT” General Manager Robert Stone. By “they,” however, Shugars meant it would be him taking on the North American Champion next week, not Lennox.

Report Sheds Light Into TKO’s Willingness To Lose Money On UFC White House Card

TKO is reportedly looking position the UFC Freedom 250 event at the White house as more than just a one-night spectacle.

Freedom 250 will be hosted on the South Lawn of the White House on June 14, President Trump’s birthday, in an event privately attended by service members and chosen guests. TKO COO Mark Shapiro previously said they expect a $30 million loss for the event, with a budget of $60 million being made available.

But as Blake Avignon reported from sources within TKO, Freedom 250 is not about making money, but rather making a play at subscriber acquisition for Paramount+.

“The move away from pay-per-view was always about turning UFC into a consistent streaming driver, and this is kind of event built to test that at scale. The setting does the heaving lifting. A fight card at the White House pulls attention far beyond the core audience, bringing casual viewers who wouldn’t normally seek out a UFC event,” Avignon wrote.

He continues to note that scale for the invite-only event is created through distribution and the Ellipse watch party. And the expectation internally is that “a moment like this expands the top of the funnel, then converts that attention into Paramount+ subscribers who stay engaged across the full UFC calendar.”

It is also said that even with the CBS deal for select fights, Paramount+ is believed to be where the long-term value sits.

WWE NXT Revenge Week Two Results 4/21 – Two Titles On The Line, Joe Hendry Faces Keanu Carver, Zaria And Sol Ruca Clash In Last Woman Standing Match

Welcome to Wrestling Inc.’s coverage of “WWE NXT!” We are coming to you from “NXT’s” home at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida, for Week 2 of “NXT Revenge.” Week One saw Lola Vice defend her “NXT” Women’s Championship against former titleholder Jacy Jayne, while Tony D’Angelo defended his “NXT” Champion against Ethan Page. What will Week Two have in store for WWE’s hottest new upstarts?

After having his concert interrupted during “NXT Revenge” Week One, Joe Hendry is looking to get some payback on the indomitable Keanu Carver. Hendry might have lost his “NXT” Championship to new titleholder D’Angelo at “Stand and Deliver,” but he is not letting the loss slow him down. Will Hendry’s infectious optimism lead him to rebuild his standing in “NXT” at Carver’s expense, or will the indestructable Carver blow through Hendry, just like he did to Jasper Troy and Josh Briggs?

EK Prosperr has made a splash in the “NXT” scene following his win over Dorian Van Dux in the first round of the ongoing “WWE Speed” Championship tournament. Now, he faces Lexis King, who defeated WWE ID Champion Chazz “Starboy” Hall to progress to tournament finals. Will Prosperr be able to usurp the King for the WWE Speed title, or does the former “NXT” Heritage Cup holder and Birthright stable leader have a nefarious plan in store to steal the victory?

Myles Borne is unafraid of DarkState after a tense confrontation during “NXT Revenge” Week One! Tonight, he will put his “NXT” North American Championship up against the de-facto DarkState leader (or, is he?), Dion Lennox. Will Borne be able to survive Lennox and DarkState’s nefarious plans, or will the once-dominant “NXT” faction continue to splinter?

Even with “Stand and Deliver” in the rear view mirror, it seems that Blake Monroe is not done with Tatum Paxley. Even after coming up short against the “NXT” Women’s North American Champion at “Stand and Deliver,” Blake Monroe has not yielded in her pursuit for her beloved title back. Paxley, however, seems more than willing to put this feud to rest — permanently. Monroe and Paxley will clash in a Casket Match for Paxley’s title tonight!

On the topic of “Stand and Deliver” holdovers, Zaria and Sol Ruca just cannot keep their hands off of each other. While this Last Woman Standing match has been on the “NXT Revenge” Week Two card for a while, things between Zaria and Ruca could not possibly be worse — not after the events of Monday’s episode of “WWE Raw,” where Zaria cost Ruca a win in her official main roster call-up match. Zaria and Ruca have been at war for months. Can they settle things, once and for all, in tonight’s match at “NXT Revenge?”

And we’re live in Orlando, Florida! We are joined by the intrepid Vic Joseph and Booker T.
